Thought Lockers was great tonight, McAvoy not great, vaeliki had his moments going forward but very poor defensively (no surprise there). Lockers try would have been given "benefit of the doubt" by any other video ref but Presley, and his tackling was much improved. More solid and no penalties.
Hock was very poor tonight and almost cost us the game with that stupid last penalty.

it was his best game tonite in a wigan shirt by far. lets give some credit. the spirit in the team was superb, ashton was man off the match,he will get the plaudits, but from 1 to 17 they stuck together and that is worth more than one or two great performances

Hey what game where some of you armchair critics watching. DV, I do not rate, but tonight he did well. Strewth he even made a break.
The Lockers criticism. You are simply clueless. He's ournitty gritty man. He takes up balls on dead settling plays, he makes tackle after tackle. He puts everything into every game and keeps going no matter what.
The pack really is terrific.

To be honest Vaeliki did have his best game for wigan tonight. He was solid in defence and I dont care what anyone says the way he set up Ashtons try was top notch centre play. The team tonight proved why wigan are staying up and why I believe we will win the league next year!

what about the effort to set up calderwood , that was great centre play, i know that he has had a dismal time with us but give him some credit, might be the boost he needed, he has been putting a lot of effort in training
