Are we going to get any of the songs going tonight? If so, which ones? If we want him to stay, I would most likely suggest this one:
There's only on Chris Ashton
1 Chris Ashhtonnnn
There's only 1 Chris Ashton
I also agree with the post above. No more booing at him. We NEED to get behind the lad if we want to see him stay at the JJB.

"At least we will find out that he as no loyalty or class about him".
If the lad has been offered more money somewhere else and Wigan cannot match it how you can call the lad. A player has only so long to earn his money before he retires lets not forget that. Would you not move to another job if offered more money? And as for no class about him you are talking crap.

It wasn't me that said he has no class about him. I really do rate this kid and at only 19 years old, he has already learnt so much, but he has still to learn a lot.

Chris is still only young people have to remember this and yes he is not the finished product by a long way. In time he will be. People on this forum seem to be targeting him for an unfair amount of criticism. This is not helping. As for people getting at him for thinking of going to rugby union do the people on the forum have any idea as to how much Chris is getting per month? if so please let us now so we can see if he is so money orientated ( I for one believes if you can get paid more else were you should go remember he has only a short time in rugby perhaps 15 years more what is he ment to do for the rest of his life for money. GET it why you can)

Absolutely spot on sai. He IS still only young, and really, on here, (and I won't include myself, in this, although I would obviously for Wigan and RL as a whole, would like the kid to stay with Wigan) I think that people are pressurising Ashton into making a decision.
Don't forget at 19, he has a big, BIG call to make, one that really is looking at what he wants to do for the rest of his life.
So, I would ask (and even I will lay off him) people to lay off him while he makes his decision. The decision alone cannot be easy for him, and some people on various boards making it any better for him.

Do you really think that the various Wigan message boards will have any bearing on whether he stays or not???
Even though he is only a young lad, I would imagine that he is listening to his agent and his family/parents.
Whilst it is a big call to make, it's not like the old days when you couldn't go back after making the switch. If he does go to RU and discovers he doesn't like it then there is nothing to stop him coming back to RL

If he does leave, what will his family/parents/girlfriend say/think? Will they just send him to Northampton (or wherever he is going) on his own, or will they go with him?

What does that have to do with anything?
