BTW, enjoy the next month of so of saturation coverage and marketing of 'crappy' Union. Should we not try to improve our sport and marketing as opposed to keeping some dark age fans happy.

Re Fans. Actually, RL, every club needs to move away from season ticket culture which is increasingly becoming a negative as much as a positive. At its best the sport had several competitions and supporters habitually purchased tickets alongside their season ticket. Nowadays, less competitions means once a season ticket is not valid for a game and purchases are required; attendances drop no matter what the competition or venue. Perhaps RL as a whole should be looking to membership schemes.
Strange you should say that. Saints have just reclassified their ST holders as 'members'!

A 42-16 win was more than I wanted, I'd have settled for any win to avoid jeopardising our league position. The attendance of 8101 was the biggest in London for 9 years. All we need now is for Mr Lenegan to nail down a major sponsor and the experiment will have been a resounding success with Wigan once again showing the way forward.
Who will be the next club to take a game to the Smoke? .

Excellent point KW, I presume Leeds and Saints both have planned games in the pipeline

Did you read my original post?
From your comments it is an obvious and resounding NO
So why makes comments when you have no idea in reality to what you are replying to?
I repeat, in a BBC promotion for todays game the presenter claimed that
Wigan hoped to play at least twice a year in London from now on
Not a one off promotion, nothing to gain interest for potential sponsors as a a one off (who may be confused if future games are to be played in some no-town hicksville called Wigan). This will become a regular occurrence if proven correct.
Perhaps the reporter in question did "jump the gun" with her comment but who would have said a year ago we would be moving home fixtures to promote the game where it has failed previously, just because we might be able to get more interest in the sport than the London Broncos/Harlequins ever achieved?
Yes I accept it was a "free" match and not part of the season ticket but does that mean all future play off fixtures will be played in London or some of the regular season fixtures?

I'm sure the whole of Super League would have been monitoring today's game, not just those two!
The way I see it, if we attract a Blue Chip sponsor as was the intension, he will insist on the London game being an annual event which he will oversee and maximise for his own publicity. Think along the lines of 'The Big One ' which Wigan already do to perfection and other clubs have yet to copy.
I also think that the London game will be against Catalans. It stands to reason that French supporters will be greater inclined to visit London as opposed to say Wigan, St Helens or Hull. In fact, if it goes the way I see it, Catalans will eventually find themselves playing all their away games in London!

True KW, one of the reasons we selected Cats was because the amount of French people now living in London. I doubt many attended but who knows.
It is a small acorn but as the saying goes .....
The London business clubs success has been aided by this match. Long term the proof will obviously be investment / sponsorship.
Millwall is certainly an appropriate venue for RL

As long as one of the two matches is the Challenge Cup Final it's not as big an issue.

I enjoyed the day out to London and I think that other clubs should follow in our footsteps and take a game down south. If the RFL aren't going to safeguard the future of our game by promoting it to wider markets the leading clubs have to take the lead. Today was a step towards it. And the southern based league fans I met up with were all really pleased to have a Super League game in their neck of the woods.
