He does need to hit harder and be more agressive but currently that isnt how Farrell is and its a flaw in his game. Yes he sticks in the tackle but for me he certainly isnt a Hansen,Lockers,Mcolorum of the side.

His running style is like the black pearls he runs in awkward lines against the grain, aiming for gaps instead of trying to run through people like Hock.

Dare i say it he has a better running style than Hansen who imo is one of the best at the club Farrell is better and hes younger.

Farrell has positives and negatives but imo he currently isnt a Hock who can upset, niggle and be a real thorn in the side of the opposition. Hock is the much better player because Hock on his day is world class....farrell isnt.

shame he doesn't have many isn't it, would rather have a consistent Farrell over a player who is world class 3 to 4 games a year :exc:

Medlocke, Farrell is far from consistent, Hock is consistently better than Farrell and has the ability to produce World class performances, something I believe Liam Farrell will never be able to do, hope I am wrong but i think he will only ever be a good squad player.

the only thing Hock is consistent in is passing the ball to fresh air and knocking on, some people need to take the cherry and white tinted glasses off from tie to time, Hanley, Faz, Robinson where world class, Hock is nowhere near that standard, i expect Farrell to be similar if not better than Hoffman when he get's to Hocks age

I didn't say Hock was world class, and I will take my cherry and white tinted glasses off regarding Hock if you do regarding Farrell, to talk about Farrell in the same breath as Hoffman is a very big statement even if he is considerably younger.

Hock has benn running with devastating effect off the bench in the internationals (petty the same can't be said of his passing). Maybe Wane plans to start with Farrell who has a good step to break through tight defences at the start of the game then introduce Hock when the opposition defence are becoming tired making him more effective?

Could this be the reason for the change of squad numbers?

I can understand why people think Hock would be better coming off the bench BUT Iactually think the contrary. Hock from the bench feels pressurised to produce his magic in a limited time which can lead to mistakes. From the start and playing for longer periods he has more time and less pressure to produce instant magic.
Some fans seem afraid of magical RL but without risk and gamble you get an incredibly dull sport. Look at Sam he makes some real howlers and in the most exposed position in the sport. However those mistakes are worth it given the magic he then produces.
Every score in every sport comes from mistakes. Sport needs mistakea. It needs players to take risk and gamble.
Hocks number change is not down to role change.

What has warranted a Squad Number change and a push at a transfer from SW and IL? CP?

All speculation.
