but didn't he return to work then had another accident, he is an injury liability imo, do we need to be stuck with him not if but when he re-injures himself again, surely we learnt our lesson with Fielden, it's not like he is George Carmont or Gary Connolly standard is it, let KR or wherever he goes worry about and waste cap spaceGod wrote:Say you were at work, you have an accident. Fair point. However maybe the club thinks he is, to be blunt, finished in RL for medical reasons?God wrote:Say you were at work, you have an accident. If he's fit I agree with you and not only would it be a poor move then unless we have another centre lined up as a signing we will go into next season with just two (in my view pretend) centres either one of whom could get injured and we have seen how well that has gone.
Yes Gildart is waiting in the wings but we are desperate for a Carmont in the centres.

Re: Expect bad news
It said over here the other night that myler is negotiating with a different super league club for next season but fancies coming over here in 1 or 2 years so by what ddtftf says about myler I reckon he's coming to Wigan as a stop gapuntil he comes over here.
I always knew that I liked this place, you don't have to look to far to find a friendly face, I feel alive when I'm walking on this street, I feel the heart of this city pounding underneath my feet, yeah if the world keeps spinning round and round this is were it all goes down, down, down, THAT'S WHY I LOVE THIS TOWN!.

Re: Expect bad news
Centre play hasn't been the strongest position for Wigan due to injury and players playing out of position to cover.
A natural centre returns to the fold and it seems daft to me if we don't at least decide if that player can give it a go.
Are others in the club seeing something we aren't?
Thornley, fit and on form is a centre worth playing in your team, and surely worth another go to prove himself.

Apparently Tony Gigot turned ourselves and Saints down to stay at Catalan.
So it appears we are in the market for a new centre.
Hopefully its a top one!

The Thornley decision is poor taste from Wigan, he deserves a run out to get his form back. Poor lads just had a baby and now faces an uncertain future. I hope he comes back to bloody haunt us !
we don't stop playing because we grow old ....... we grow old because we stop playing
