Gleeson did play against celtics though, pretty sure he set a try up from an offload.

He played at stand-off my apologies... I just looked at the centre positions on the team sheet and he wasn't there!!!
Thanks Nathan for clearing that up....

The sun says it will be announced today- £100k and Mathers for Gleeson.
I find it hard to believe that I.L. has parted with £100k of his cold hard cash!!!
He must have got the message that he needs to improve the team to keep merchandise and ticket sales going up- shame he won't cough up for Noble's severance package yet.

BREAKING NEWS: Wigan Warriors sign Martin Gleeson from Warrington Wolves
11:41pm Sunday 5th April 2009
WOLVES and England centre Martin Gleeson has signed for his hometown club Wigan Warriors.
Wigan are to pay Warrington a transfer fee in the region of £100,000, with Wigan also understood to be offering Richie Mathers in the package.
Full details are expected to be revealed tomorrow, Monday.
Gleeson, who turns 29 next month and was under contract until the end of 2010, had set his sights on continuing his career with an NRL club in Australia, where he grew up, but initial interest went quiet.
Mathers, who has spent time Down Under with the Gold Coast Giants, is set to team up again with Wolves’ head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith, who seemed to get the best out of the full back when they were together at Leeds Rhinos.
The 25-year-old, in his second year at Wigan, was initially on Wolves’ academy books and had a successful loan spell with Warrington in 2002 before rising to prominence with Leeds.
Speculation of Wigan’s interest in Gleeson hit the headlines at the start of last week, with neither club offering any comments publicly.
However, it was widely reported that Wigan chiefs had initially offered Mathers and centre Darrell Goulding in a swap deal.
Gleeson was ‘rested’ by Wolves at the weekend and his last appearance for the club was at stand off in the 27-22 win against Celtic Crusaders on March 29.
He got a taste for the play-making half back role with Warrington last year, with Tony Smith also giving him games in that position during England’s 2008 World Cup campaign, but Gleeson had made the right centre position his own at Warrington since 2005.
His signing from St Helens, for a club record fee of £200,000, was seen as a real coup in the bid to bring glory days back to Warrington.
He hit it off straight away with his wing partner Henry Fa’afili and, feeding off quality ball from the likes of Lee Briers and Logan Swann, formed one of the most lethal attacking threats in Super League.
While the likes of Swann and Fa’afili were released at various stages, Gleeson remained the rock on the right-hand edge and whoever played outside him was regularly among the tries.
Former Manly Grand Finalist Chris Hicks found that out at the start of their partnership last year, before Hicks was required to cover at full back for the majority of the campaign.
Young Chris Riley benefited, too, touching down 13 times in the last 14 games of 2008.
Throughout his Warrington career Gleeson kept hold of his international jersey, firstly under current Wigan coach Brian Noble and then under new Wolves boss Tony Smith.

Re: Wigan to sign Gleeson?
£100k + Mathers? Great bargain if true. The option presumably was a free transfer, but keeping Mathers.
I'm just glad Goulding isn't part of the deal. We might expect some loan deals though, to cover the salary cap.
Doesn't say how long the contract is, though. No longer than 2 years, I hope.

IL will get half his money back on Thursday. The signing of Gleeson will boost the attendance. One down six to go -two props, a half back, another centre, aloose forward and a full back!
