i think mcavoy will be a decent signing, as he wont command a big wage an he is a solid player who can depitise for goulding when he needs resting or if theres an injury to bailey or even meaning that bailey can move up to the second row for some matches.

also i as we have very little money for the cap net year and i know this probably wont go to well here but grose can come in for a decent wage and can cover full back or wing. as noble has said in that we need backs so these are two options

good post! id have these two in the squad least we'd have a bit of cover if we picked up injuries during the season, cant see both asking for a fortune either.

I think its time I went and put my head in the oven.Hey I wonder if Doc Murry is still avaliable for full back.

m avoy would have signed for 25k last year.Depending on who else we bring in mcavoy could be a good steady signing

seeing as we have hardly any money to spend, a squad that is very lightweight, even now we are hoping we dont get any injuries so i dont see what your problem is?these two arnt world beaters but if they were signed as cover just for this season then i dont see that as a bad thing! ps go and shove your head in your oven, make sure its on the hottest temp possible and hopefully that will open your eyes to the situation were in at the mo!

You must be the most unambicious person ive ever heard!! Do you not remember the glory years are were you not born then. We didnt get that success by signing crap like McAvoy!! Even with the money we have we could sign better than him or give a kid in the A-team a chance. Lift your chin before i put my foot in it!! :sly:

is this a wind up?have you not been awake since the salery cap came into rugby?in the glory days we could go out and buy who we wanted and pay watever we wanted. very different now.its not being unambicious to suggest mcavoy would do a job for 12months its being realistic!!apart from stanton in the 21's i dont think theres any1 in the backs that would be upto superleague. so signing mcavoy would be sensible as he'd prove cover for goulding and bailey.ps i was around in the glory days, but what has that got to do with anything now?

what players do you suggest we sign then for the short amount of money we have left on the cap. it will only be for a season, he is a solid player who can give decent cover. we need a couple of backs as cover and another prop.
