So what happened to fielden saying he is over all his injuries and is up for a big season ?

If his dip in form is related to family problems then he should retire or use it in his advantage. I know that if something happened to me like that then i would let people know my anger in the tackle.

Its easy to say you know how you would react but the reality of it is until something like that happens to you, you don't know what you would do! In fairness to Fielden I have never heard him complain about his loss or his injuries. I have seen him a few times and he doesn't make excuses for his drop in form and seems determined to get back to the player that he was. People who were at the Riversiders meeting earlier his month can back that up. All I am saying is give him a chance. He hasn't played since October, it takes a few games to get match fit. If the rest of the team aren't firing on all cylinders its very difficult for any player to perform to his capability. I hope I can come on here at the end of the season and say I told you so. I undersand why people are complaining. My family are season ticket holders and we have to work hard to pay for them. I just don't think we should come on here slating players. We are here to support the club. There are enough people out there slating us as it is. Lets get behind the lads.

That is probably a reflect of how desparate we are Mike and can only see Feka and Hock breaking tackles. Sad.

That is correct.
Coley does seem to bust a few tackles and hansen makes half breaks all of the time when he hits the gap.

Not good enough though. Look at leeds 2nd rowers, ellis and jamie jones, break line for fun those guys.

The whole team seems down to me body language is poor , Fielden seems to look ill to me not the bloke he was , it may be that he will take time to regain his form , I remember Bell coming back off an injury and he played bad for months he got ripped to shreds by Currier against Widnes thing was then you hardly noticed , he was surrounded with great players and leaders something the present Wigan team lacks.
When people say HKR have signed players it's true but they have not had their hands tied with contracts from previous owners so the cap has not hindered them as much as us.
Fekka plays well in short bursts , Coley has been better than I thought he would be and Prescott was looking like a SL prop before his injury , Ocarrol has heart but his lack of size is a real problem for me . The other issue is Higham he is not a starting hooker and his passing is very poor , he needs to play to his strengths , running at tired forwards , Nobby and IL must have thoughts along the same lines thus the interest in Newton , the other negative is the way it was handled and the effect that had on other players ?
Hooker is now the most important position on the field they need to read the game have rounded skills Macolrum is a better hooker than Higham at the moment and should start , Higham should come off the bench with Fekka and run from dummy half behind his runs , at worst this would bring good yards and a few penalties at best it could make us a potent force .

Finally on a bright note Nobby sides always start slow and are occasionally likely to have a bad result run in against them , the thing that highlighted and made the game a shocker was who we played .
I can see us releasing Higham , Calderwood ,and at least one or two other smaller contacted payers I would also imagine the new contracts being dished out will be a little more sensible, next year bringing in 3 or 4 new faces

i agree, maybe they should suspend the players wages for a week or so or when coming up to big matches to motiviate the team to at least compete for there money

Good point there Kris.... If someone at work isnt doing their job properly they get the sack. If that was the case at the moment we would only have 3 players on the team.

I personally think the hardman image was just an image, lets face it Willy Mason and Radford at Hull (Boxing Match) owned Stu.

Most players have become wise to his offence, he is not a collision prop and uses his upper body strength and hand off, so they tackle him with this in mind.

At the moment he is no where near the form he showed at Bradford, with a dominant pack around him. Was he ever the player we thought we had signed????
