Timmy will fly back hopefully this Friday with Mark and Karli. They are all planning on travelling together

Mark should have flown today but Karli's visa has not arrived and wont arrive until Tuesday.

Mark says Timmy will definately be at wigan on 2009.
How did you speak to him? On his facebook status it says he is only leaving for Wigan on Saturday. I'm not doubting you, I just wondered because he is still in Aus, apparently.

Brian noble is confident he will return
Noble, though, remains confident Smith will be back and said: "He certainly hasn't asked for a release.
"I've spoken to him to several times during the World Cup in Australia, and I'm confident he will be with us next season. He's due back later this month."

For what it is worth i spoke to mark riddell for over an hour on facebook chat service.

The guy is a sound bloke and cant wait to get over here and do the business.

I have only repeated what he has told me.

If smith doesnt return then so be it. I have simply repeated riddell word for word.

Also i have since been informed by riddell that hall is in talks and looks likely to join the Bulls for 2010 and we didnt manage to close the signing. Hall will stay at manly in 2009

Funny that doesn't fill me with any confidence at all.
Me neither, especially after reading this

The Warrington chief executive, Andy Gatcliffe, again rubbished those reports yesterday about signing Greg Bird, insisting that the Wolves have no room under the salary cap. Neither do Wigan at the moment but Bird would be an obvious replacement for the Australian half-back Tim Smith, who is rumoured not to be returning to the JJB Stadium. Perhaps significantly, Smith has been allowed to stay in Queensland until the new year.

According to Mark Riddell's interview on Thursday at the training facility, he assures the interviewer, Graham Emmerson, that Tim Smith will be arriving on the 28th with Tommy Leuluai and is looking forward to linking up with him again.

The "trouble" is josie, is that this rumour, like the trent barrett wanting an early release rumour last season, wont go away - no smoke without fire i say! :conf:
