BTW you were wrong.

Let me ask you this. Do you think an official body of a professional club should be welcoming a racist, homophobic, anti disabled comedian to one of their functions?

Do you see anybody officially connected with Man Utd / Man City paying Bernard Manning to do his act at one of their functions? Chelsea or Spurs employing Jim Davidson likewise?

Of course not. Thank God RL is small time. Had this been a football club it would have been sprayed all over the newspapers and TV.

You are very naive Nobbys Girl. You hope to become a teacher. You cannot endorse / participate in anything racist / homophobic / anti disabled. You would get the sack but hey you can say I enjoyed myself I found it funny.

Anybody in a public service, anybody in a professional organisation cannot endorse a racist / homophobic / anti disabled comedian.

The whole point of this damn thread should be the sheer stupidity of employing this comedian. Ideally, those responsible could say we never knew what his act was and would not have employed him had we known as such. Thank God this was a small unimportant media sport like RL.

Maybe people should engaged their brain rather than try to show some miss guided loyalty for a clique of friends.

If something is thrown into the public domain and people offer a view you do not like. Tough live with it or just pretend it never happened. Well done to the 2 members who spoke up. I just hope nobody thinks racism/homophobia/anti disabled behaviour is acceptable and if anybody found that garbage funny they should hang their head in shame.
This thread was locked by someone 3 maybe 4 replies ago, but you have to go and get the last word in.

CP read my lips.....no one, no one said that people are not entitled to their opinion except you, you do not like anyone disagreeing with your point of view. You continue to carry this on no matter what. WHY. People are fed up of coming on here because, well sorry, but you seem to take over every thread/topic and if it isn't to your way of thinking, you chew over it like a dog with a bone and twist it about so much, that no one knows what the original topic was about in the first place.

The comedian was a mistake! We have accepted that it offended some people, but not all, who actually ATTENDED the evening. You are offended. Why? you weren't even there and these people are big enough to complain about for themselves, which they have done and, according to someone on the committee, their complaint has been taken into account and will be brought up at their next meeting. They do not need you to champion their cause.

This thread has again become a slanging match, you say this site is for everyone, free speech and so on. Yes it is, only as long as it is suitable to you.

Leave it alone now, please.

First and foremost this thread was never locked until your last post. Why it needed to be locked is anybodys guess.

Nobody has admitted anything. To the contrary actually. A post was made and then 2 members had the termerity to speak out and what happened? They got told they were wrong by the usual suspects kissing each others behinds. You even accused them of over zealous political correctness. A committee member told them they should not have young children with them which it seems they did not. You were all looking for excuses to placate what happened. Ignore the bigger puicture.

Had this been a big sport, selecting that comedian could have damaged the reputation of Wigan RLFC. Who in Gods name selected him. Are other fans not allowed an opinion.

I lmao at your comments. I can recall your reaction in a PM to me when people disagreed with you about players being given a break. You criticised all and sundry and then took your bat and ball home sulking. So who does not like people disagreeing? who does not like her beloved Wigan RLFC being criticised? You have no objectivity Josie.

Personally I enjoy debate. I enjoy agreeing and disagreeing. Many people seem to. However, we have a small group / a clique of real life friends who want to turn the forum into their own social network which precludes new members and was become a criticism of the site.

This is the second time people on this site have been attacked personally owing to Riversider threads. We had the ludicrously false Mick Hogan comment threads again when Wigan RLFC was being brought into disrepute by false statements. Again, members of the said organisation, aquintances felt they had BEEN USED by so called friends (not you before you start whining) Real life friends feeling like they were being used by so called friends and you have the temerity to moan on here.

These forums are for everybody not just a group / clique of real life friends. They will praise and they will criticise Wigan RLFC / events. They will debate. What on earth are you and others a fraid of. Maybe if people cannot handle debate they should stick to MSN and Facebook.

:) awww did dums. How old are you.

You made a cock up the last time you posted about a Riversiders meeting and made an even bigger cock up with your antics thereafter. You then made another post about the Riversiders and because two members rightly felt an error had been made they complained and you again made an even bigger cock up trying to deny it was a cock up. Thank God it was Wigan RLFC and not Man U / Man C.

So every time somebody is RIGHT and you are WRONG you dig a huge hole and even ask others to dig you out of that hole.

If you don't want to post then that is your choice. Make a Riversiders forum? Plenty of cracking posters on this site who want to debate Wigan RLFC and RL without being part of a friendship group. Cracking posters who make thoughtful considered posts.

Do tell me what this false claim was?

As for Hogan. Let me see you were the one who asked so called frinds to back you up when you realised you had made a gigantic mistake. Incidentally friends who said afterwards they had felt you had used them. You then went around behind the scenes somehow expecting others to apologise to you because you had make a cock up.

the difference between you and I is I post what I think and that is it whereas you go around moaning off site.
