Yes we did get what we wanted. The game has moved on but Nobby stuck to the same old boring and predictable rugby that would have been ok 4 seasons ago but doesn't cut the mustard now. His amazing masterplan of coming string for the playoffs has once again failed with another semi final lost. If anyone thinks that we would have had a chance against Leeds in the GF they want their heads seeing to.

Oh happy day, lets forget Nobby and give McGuire some backing, I really hope that next season my journeys across the M62 will be in the knowledge that win or lose the effort will be there and more of our young lads will be given chances deliberately not by default.

I love Wigan Rugby and hopefully next season I won't feel like I'm throwing money down the drain by going to watch them. Any negativity I may have displayed was never intended to annoy people but I will continue to give my opinions and hopefully next year some people might realise that this is what a public forum is all about.

Brian Mcclennan's appointment as New Zealand national coach was one of the most controversial appointments in Rugby League, due to his lack of top level experience.
He didnt do too bad with the Kiwi's and hasnt fared too bad at Leeds either to be honest.
Given the choice of Brian Mcclennan, Harry Potter or Michael Mcguire, I would chose Michael Mcguire, as has experience at the very top club team in any form of Rugby League. Even his peers sing his praises.
I have been a knocker of Brian Noble, I gave my honest reasons for it too.
I honestly think a top assoistant coach from the NRL, like MM would be the person to bring on the young talent Wigan Warriors currently has.

McClennan and Potter both inherited quality sides, much as Noble did at Bradford.
It would require ineptitude beyond belief for Leeds to have finished outside the top two.
That side could effectively have been left without a coach and as long as they turned up for training would still have beaten most sides.
Maguire (if indeed it is he) is inheriting a side that isn't as good as Leeds and this will be a real test for him, especially as the chairman has had his wallet welded shut it seems.
If the new coach can get Wigan higher in the league and to win some trophies I will be thrilled, but I'm not expecting it next year.
Potter will struggle at snakes next year because his team is being pulled apart by age, and next season will be harder for him than this.
