I played in the college Team with Ganson at Stand-off and me on the wing. The opposition had a hooker who was a very good player but only had one arm. At the first scrum ganson shouts come on lads get stuck into this hooker he is Harmless !!!! As you can imagine it kicked off big time and I don't remember ganson being anywhere near the fight. However you can't crucify someone for not being a good player just cause he became a ref. Take him as you find him, he coulde either be real entertainment value on a night out or a pain in the arse who found trouble and then couldn't sort it out. (trust me I know as i saved him a number of times from a beating)
At the end of the day he has made a career and to be fair he has got to the top from mediocre rugby ability. Fair play to him i say!!!!!!!
