I like them both particularly judging by the secon set of pcs. On the top set they look really tight and pretentious yet they are baggy on the second, almost as if they're wearing different shirts.

The baggy ones will be the replica kits whereas the skin tight ones will be the match day playing kit. So yes, they are wearing different shirts.

The problem for me is that the home shirt design is caught between paying homage to tradition (hoops) and trying to be radical. I would rather they went either / or. Trying to combine the two creates confusion IMO. It is very hard to do much with hoops so I would rather the club occasionally just said this kit will be bold and if need be dispense with hoops altogether for that season. The away kit in Cheery n White for example would be great IMO.
I am waiting for the day when a kit manufacturer creates an all in one playing kit. shirt and shorts combined. The fan version would not be so for obvious reasons. I just have this inkling that the future RL player will be wearing a skin tight, difficult to hold kit with a bread basket size area made of a different material to aid ball catching / handling.

But it would be funny seeing that guy with the tash in the south stand bar wearing one

I think the tight kits are the ones made specifically for players. The loose fitting ones are the fans versions.

Or for some of us, the loose fitting ones will be tight fitting ones
