Quite Simply:-

3 oz Plain Flour.
1 Egg.
3 fl oz Milk.
2 fl oz Water.
2 tablespoon of Beef Dripping.
Salt and freshly milled Black Pepper.

Make up the batter by sifting the flour into a bowl and making a well in the centre of the bowl.
Break the egg into it and beat, gradually incorporating the flour, and then beat in the milk, water, and seasoning. Beat the mixture thoroughly.
Pre heat the oven to Gas mark 7 (425F, 220C).
Add the Beef dripping into the roating tin and place over direct heat to heat up the dripping to boiling point.
Carefully pour the batter into the sizzling hot fat.
Place the roasting tin onto the highest shelf of the oven and cook for 25 to 30 minutes, to allow the puddings to rise and become crisp and golden.

Any other suggestions are welcome here.

Turn the temperature down to 200 after 5 minutes. When they look ready give them an extra 5 minutes to stop them collapsing :-) from a true yorkshire man.

Some Hull fans seriously reckon their match will need to be all ticket because they think there is the potential for 9500 of their own fans and 10k+ leeds fans going to their match due to it being free for season ticket holders. Not going to happen.

I reckon the Hull game may need to be all ticket, Leeds wont take 10,000 though. For me the Sheffield draw is a good one. Just hope it is bramall alne and not Don Valley. Revenge for 98 anyone.
