Geoff is right. The decision re renewal will be made well before his contract expires so rightly or wrongly he needs to make a big statement ASAP.

I wasnt saying direct to you that you were writing Feka off, but more of a general site statement.GeoffN wrote:But that's too late to be getting a top class replacement for him if he doesn't make it. We have to know earlier what we're doing with his chunk of salary, whether that's re-signing or replacing him.Panchitta Marra wrote:Too many on here are sadly writing Feka off as a spent Wigan player.GeoffN wrote: He'll have to be quicker than that if he wants a contract renewal.
As I have said, give feka a season to come to terms with what Madge is applying to him.
I am sure he will be judged for the coming 2011 season well by November 2010, his contract renewal date.![]()
I'm definitely not writing him off, I'm just saying he'll need to be at the required (by MM) standard much earlier than October/November.
Is that satisfactory though? You are talking about a highly paid import playing against players that are largely 20 and under. He is much bigger, stronger and more developed than the people he is playing against and should be dominating in every way. We are now a quarter through the season and he still seems no better than he was pre-season, or in previous seasons for that matter.baldrik wrote:I watched Feka play against Hull Res and I think he did O.K.
I am sorry that is one of the worst ideas that I have heard. He is in no way suitable for that position and would be a complete liability. I think is lack of effort in the positions which he supposedly plays says it all about his commitment.baldrik wrote: As for Pryce, Jaws came up with a good idea stating that Pryce would be better playing in the pack (2nd row)there he would see more of the ball and obviously would be more involved in the game!! If he didnt perform through lack of effort it would prove that he is not interested or perhaps his confidence is completely shattered.
Think you are being a bit harsh there. As far as I am concerned I don't think they utilise him as they should & as they did when he first came to us.Dobby wrote:

No??! I had to check the date on my laptop and check it wasn't April the 1st - This has to be a wind up surely?baldrik wrote:baldrik wrote: As for Pryce, Jaws came up with a good idea stating that Pryce would be better playing in the pack (2nd row)there he would see more of the ball and obviously would be more involved in the game!! Feka is effectively a completely different player to last season, still trying to get used to his new body shape and develop the strength that he is bound to have lost to lose all that weight.Dobby wrote:Is that satisfactory though?
