Then again, for the majority, it is a home game so travelling costs can be discounted.
If the game had been switched to Oz, I reckon some Wigan fans would have been there!

Don't know the answer to that but I know that the only tickets available on the day were 35 quid plus and at least 2 pubs on Elland Rd were, without exaggeration, full of people who had turned up on the day hoping to get a ticket and not willing to pay so much. Granted Elland Rd is a much bigger stadium but the same thing happened when we played an international match at the McAlpine once too. I'd like to think the WCC should be a sellout anyway with it being in Wigan but as with internationals I think we could have got away with a much bigger stadium for the game using the Netto philosophy of pile 'em high and sell 'em cheap, particularly to kids. If the marketing was done wisely they'd make at least the same amount of money on gate receipts but with the added bonus of matches being more attractive to sponsors, the potential for getting more kids interested in the game and at least attempting to enhance the reputation of Rugby League in general.cpwigan wrote:Exactly BM. I daresay it will sell out.
What was the pricing for the previous WCC involving Leeds?

In my case, because I'm not claiming my own seat, I'm going for a good seat in the South (or maybe North) at half the price.Kittwazzer wrote:What's the point queuing for hours. Haven't we got till 29/11 to claim our seats?
