if the forwards were shaping like last year we would have had more chances and finch would be looking better look at warrington n leeds for 60 minutes... but them hospital passes are shocking when we have other lines on

Charnley and Marsh were dropped after one bad performance, Finch has had three in a row!

Re: 3 Bad Signings
I couldn't get to last night's game, but listened on GMR.
Sounded like the whole team had a dreadful game.
From what I have seen of Finch he does more tackling than a halfback should be required to do. He has thrown some great passes and some poor ones.
Lima either we we want an "Enforcer" or we want someone that doesn't go in hard and doesn't get banned.
If you go in hard and play for Wigan you will attract the attention of the disciplinary, so it seems Lima is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
Hoffmann?
Best signing in years with the exception of Trent Barrett.
The whole team appeared to throw a wobbler last night. Joel was guilty of losing the ball several times, and threw at least one pass into touch in a scoring position.
On the other hand we beat Huddersfield and they seem to be a genuine threat for trophies this season.
Win some lose some.
Last season our tactics were new and teams didn't know how to cope with us, now they have some idea of our tackling technique, which the RFL seem to want to outlaw, and that if they can slow our POTB we, like all sides, are less of a threat.
We have lost two of seven games, drawn a further two.
What would have given for figures like that a couple, or three, seasons back?
I sometimes think Wigan fans expect a little too much of the team, based on a history, that isn't truly comparable with the game as it played today.

Exile, the 'history' we seek to repeat began last February against the Crusaders and ended at Old Trafford!

True enough, but based on last season, a lot of people seemed to think we would go through this season winning every game by a hefty margin.Kittwazzer wrote:Exile, the 'history' we seek to repeat began last February against the Crusaders and ended at Old Trafford!
Yes we need to do better, but I still think some people have unrealistic expectations.

I confess to being one of the many, but after last night my expectations will remain entirely earthbound!exile in Tiger country wrote:True enough, but based on last season, a lot of people seemed to think we would go through this season winning every game by a hefty margin.Kittwazzer wrote:Exile, the 'history' we seek to repeat began last February against the Crusaders and ended at Old Trafford!

Re: 3 Bad Signings
it`s not that they are bad signings time will tell, what we need is a strong centre , all points seem to be scoring where gleeson used to play ,now he`s gone we need a new centre ,mr lenegan can use the money he has saved from gleeson`s wages
