That is not the point though. Just because we can sign more foreign players than the three allowed by the quota because of things like the Kolpak ruling does not mean that we should.
Bradford had eight players who were not elligable for GB who were off quota last season. The season before Hull had TEN at one point.
It is bad for the British game IMO to have so many inelligable (for GB) players running around in the competition. It is why we struggle to find more than two decent GB wingers and why we are reduced to playing Long at scrum half.
As I said for us to stick to three overseas players on principle we would have needed not to sign Vaeiliki and cut Dallas if we assume our need for props and a scrum half was greater than a new centre and retaining Dallas.
