Anthony Gelling to Wigan?

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

[quote="Dobby"] he is fairly awful there. quote]

How can he be desribed as fairly Awful. He's either awful or fairly poor.

Like saming Sam is fairly fantastic.

I see a new David Vialiki turning up, his flat footed running was a joy to watch.

to be fair DV was signed as one of the best centres in the world but he never recovered from his very bad injury he got at Parra.

Don't talk nonsense. Of course something can be fairly awful and you should learn a little about how adverbs can be used with gradable and non-gradable adjectives before making such statements.

How many of you said the same about Carmont when he was signed?

And you point is? There is no comparison between Carmont when he was signed and Gelling, a more appropriate comparison would be Gelling and someone like Phelps and we all know how poor he was.

Carmont when he was signed was an out and out centre, was an international and was playing in the NRL. Gelling plays in the New South Wales Cup, cant get a NRL team and according to those that have seen a lot of him is poor at centre. Some Auckland fans dont even think he will get in Wigan's first team and only see him as a possible second row, which we have stacks of.

We need to trust the people in charge at the club. I would certainly favour their judgement rather than those posting on a forum.

We have signed so called nobodys before and they have turned out to be good players and great club men - I give you Tony Iro.
