The last time there was 'definitely an announcement' the club actually had to do what they generally don't, comment on speculation, and actually have an announcement that there never was an announcement.
However, since fans at the time were disappointed with the club no making an announcement, the announcement of a lack of an announcement was quite appropriate.
I'm sure you knew exactly what you meant as you typed that, lol.
