I've just scraped the last bit of egg off my face, have successfully digested the final slice of my humble pie, and I'm now ready to acknowledge the prophet Wane, as a true convert. Thanks to all the players and staff for yesterday. That second half was spine tingling and absolutely unforgettable; the stuff of legend!

For my two penneth worth I was not looking forward to the match at all. The statistic that we'd only beaten Wire 3 times in the last 6 years scared me and at 16-2 down I was feeling pretty rubbish.
But I should have had more faith!! A simply brilliant second half orchestrated by our two magnificent halfbacks who for me are just getting better and better (and two blokes called Lance and Harry would agree with me).
I went from being a dejected misery to an ecstatic child, bouncing in the terraces. It was simply wonderful.
I have been banging on all season that we can't win big games and have no plan B. Well the way we have played in the play-offs shuts me right up and rightly so. So pleased for the club and the fans and watching 30,000 Wiganers all pointing their fingers in unison to the 10 second count down is something that will stay with me forever.

The play off system sucks and you would see a far better SL season without it BUT these are the rules we play to and you simply have to make the most of them. Crappy system but you do what you have to do.

What a night! We enjoyed that more than 2010. To come back and nil Wire for 50 minutes was incredible. SW was right to pick the bench he did and right to pick Lockers.
Talked to the coppers on the way out. Out of 66,000 fans, they'd had one very minor scuffle all night.
There's just something about our town and our team and the kids we bring up and the passion RL generates that no other club or town can match. Last night just proved it again. Magic!
One very minor grouse - Micky Mac should have been a shoo-in for MoM.
Even the cheeseburgers were just about edible.
Life is good!

After the game and during our 5 mile hike to the coach, I invested £2.50 in the best hot dog this side of the Mississippi!

I've enjoyed it all the Grand Final, Wembley, trips to Catalans even trips to Hull KR. The World Cup to come. It's been a great season

Just watched it back on the telly now, great acheievement.
I don't mind admitting I didn't think we had a chance at the start of the season!!
Best thing for me last night was watching all the gloating Wire fans from the first half sat near us shrink into oblivion in the second half oh and briers losing again

Can't see why they've cancelled it. Could they not have just postponed it until next year?
