Unlike us, this Saturdays Roosters side was nowhere near being 100% fit, had no games under their belt. Even the commontators hinted at how much out of shape certain Roosters players were.
It would have been nearer 70 points and not the 36 they put on us.
The only reason SL sides have historically done so good in this competition is because they have had more preparation match time than NRL sides at the start of the season.
I do agree that the dates could be moved to allow the then trophy winning sides to battle it out.
