I wish the police had put half a dozen police dogs in front of the idiots; they would have thought twice or lived to regret running on the pitch / doing ten man prattish stuff.

Re: Widnes v Cas
No surprise whatsoever with the behaviour of a element of so called Widnes fans. Many of whom in the past were from the Garston and Speake areas of South Liverpool.
I remember going to Widnes in the late eighties when Offiah and Sorenson played for them in a game to decide the Championship. The atmosphere that day was so bad that me and my family came off the ground before the end of the game as there were nothing but gangs of so called Widnes fan's looking for trouble and not interested in the Rugby.
Take notice that when this kind of trouble starts, most are never wearing the colour's of the club concerned.
How the BBC commentators got carried away with the way the Widnes fan's behind the posts were behaving in spite of losing only showed their ignorance of was was building up. I said to my Wife, there is going to be trouble here at the end of the game and I was proved right.
I trust the Widnes club will be getting hold of all the recorded material and banning those involved etc as we do not want this kind of football type behavior spreading into our game.

I went to that game myself with my now wife while I was home on leave. It was the one and only time I reacted to provocation when a Widnes fan slapped her at the back of the head, and it was the last league match she ever went to because of it. She's been Wembley and grand finals since, but she won't go to league games purely because of that incident.Whelley Warrior wrote:No surprise whatsoever with the behaviour of a element of so called Widnes fans. Re: Widnes v Cas
One year when we were playing there, we were parked on the grass bit behind the stand.
As we were approached the car we saw a couple of women crouched down at the side of the car.
Couldnt believe our eyes when the were both relieving themselves!!!
Backsides stuck up in the air for all & sundry to see.
They behaved as this was the normal thing to do.
I told them they were a pair of dirty scouse bitches and that they had just come out of the stadium with proper toilet facilities but I'd forgot they were neanderthals from Widnes!!

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Widnes 'sickened' by fans' behaviour
Widnes have spoken of their shame at the “sickening” crowd trouble involving some of their fans following the Challenge Cup semi-final defeat by Castleford.
The Vikings have also vowed to co-operate with the Rugby Football League in an investigation into the trouble.
Supporters from the Vikings end of the stadium invaded the pitch after full-time at Leigh Sports Village and approached the Tigers fans, with some violence occurring as police and stewards attempted to restore order.
Some of the scenes were captured on social media, including the head being removed from one of the Tigers’ mascots and kicked away.
Widnes chief executive James Rule said: "It's sickening to see such shameful scenes perpetrated by a minority of 'supporters'.
Shame
"We will now work closely with RFL and police and carry out a full investigation.
"The club's recruitment drive for next season has been put on hold until such time that we can establish the full cost to the club for today's actions.
"We will work fully with the RFL and the BBC to identify each and every individual that brought shame to the good name of our club."
The RFL is awaiting reports from all relevant parties before deciding on its course of action.
The governing body's chief executive Nigel Wood said: "The sport has every right to be disappointed with the behaviour of a minority of Widnes fans. We will work with the clubs to identify any supporters who encroached onto the pitch. There is no place for such behaviour in rugby league."
In the game, Castleford eased to a 28-6 victory to earn a first trip to Wembley since 1992, where they will face West Yorkshire rivals Leeds.

In many years of watching RL I have been to every teams ground. My honest opinion is that Warrington and Widnes fans are the worst I have encountered.

I hope the culprits are indentified and prosecuted.
It is a criminal offence to go a pitch and if found guilty they will have a criminal record.
That would be some punishment!
It would also be a massive deterrent for those thinking of doing the same in the future.

Sorry Kaii I have to disagree with that. You don't pay over £40 for home and away shirts to not be a supporter. I have been to Widnes many many times and wittnessed this sort of behavior from there fans so this is nothing new. Sad but true.Kaii wrote:I posted a video when they were 0-22 down all singing, clapping cheering like proper fans then 2 mins later they were kicking of in the tunnel on the south side. Stood there recording the whole thing happen only to realize i never pressed record lol.cpwigan wrote:I looked like quite a few Widnes fans were letting themselves down after the full time hooterKaii wrote:Atmosphere here is brilliant just a pity about the score
These people kicking off weren't the normal match going Widnes fans, these people were idiots. If we're not playing i'll tag along with my Widnes mates, there's been plenty of times i've stood alongside them wearing a Wigan top and not one person has ever complained.
Hopefully these idiots will be banned i just hope they don't punish the club with a points deduction
