I used to live in Morecambe and travelled to every game also being a season ticket holder. I now live in the Midlands and recently lost my job so does me not buying a season ticket stop me from being a supporter? I have supported this club through thick and thin also when we got relegated. I resent whole heartedly being called a fan rather than a supporter simply because I choose to select the games I can afford to attend. Just because you and others are season ticket holders does not give you any more loyalty on your chest than myself or others. Remember that not every ones circumstances are the same as others. And if people are so damned proud of being season ticket holders then what the heck happens when you go on holiday? Do you just say to yourself I'm a season ticket holder and must attend every game or do you choose to go on holiday. If it's the latter then you are just like myself a person who chooses to be selective of the game to attend. We support one club and that is Wigan we are not divided in loyalty just cost and distance.Kaii wrote:I think he's right CP, I did a post the other week complaining about all these offers and the lack of benefit of having a season ticket. If someone like many here and on cherry & white decide going to the match is too much trouble then how can they be classed as a supporter, they're a fan at best.
If you live in Morcambe and can only get to a limited amount of games you've more than enough shown your support for this club. Some make absolutely no effort to get to a game and they are normally the most vocal on forums/Facebook groups.
The club has bent over backwards to make season tickets affordable so there is no excuse for any real supporter of this club not to have one if you live in the surrounding areas
Season Ticket VFM.

WW, just hold your hand up and say you know what I made a stupid post. We all do it. I certainly do.
As a youngster, a great uncle bought me my first X seasons season tickets as birthday presents. Said Uncle never watched Wigan in my lifetime live choosing to listen to every game on the radio or watch on TV. He was a Wigan RLFC supporter until the day he died, probably still is.
Wigan RLFC has more supporters who do not attend matches live than do. It is a free world and we all have different circumstances that are dynamic. NOBODY should ever judge another Wigan supporter on how 'good' a supporter they are.

Re: Season Ticket VFM.
We are all supporters of Wigan Warriors in our own way IMO whether you attend every game at home, away or watch on tv or listen on the radio.
I know people who don't go to games anymore but still proudly wear a Wigan shirt or other merchandise with the clubs crest on it.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I was there. And I'm not even a season ticket holder or a true supporter according to some who's comments I normally completely ignore.

You always are Josie with or without a ST it would not matter. If you were in hospital I can imagine you wheeling the bed or trolley down to the DW!josie andrews wrote:I was there with my nephew as usual & I know my friends who I go to away games with were therecpwigan wrote:WW, what happened to the season ticket holders tonight ?![]()
Luckily WW will put you in his category Gold supporters, I presume there will be a new Lead supporters category too now for ST holders who only attend with a season ticket
