I think the problem was/is the lack of notice

Ideas
1. North stand have the band(s) like they did last year to promote upcoming talent, may attract a different audience to attend
2. North stand given away to schools, amateur rl clubs, charities etc for most home games, except saints and wire. No-one else brings any fans so stick them in the end block of the east
3. The flag brigade (can't remember what they were called) - get them back and support them through the club. They can raise money as they did before for flags, scarves etc and also contribute to charity (charitable foundation)
4. Drummer in each stand - may annoy some including myself but usually gets the place going
5. Contradicting 1&2 but get some away fans in. How you do this I don't know as making it cheap (which it already is compared to us going away) could alienate home fans
6. Performance on pitch - I can accept getting beat if I feel the team have put it in. Feels like going through the motions at the minute
7. Star signing for each team off cap. I remember what the crowds were like at cp when Hanley etc were signed - unfortunately I don't think there are many sl based stars that would put bums on seats
8. Target age groups - I sit in the east and majority are older where I'm sat. Should be looking at family, young (13-17), 18-25 etc and what people want from the game. I am very much get to game latish cos of work etc. so not overly bothered about per match, but I know some get there very early. I don't think the pre match is up to much poss a singer and warrior girls every week. Look to mix it up
9. Look at American sports. A work colleague loves most yank sports. He said the game day experience is something else. £10 for a basket ball ticket, waiter / waitress service to your seat, embracing technology to move this forward

Going to be honest here i took the plunge and bought me the wife a season ticket this season,i hadnt been to a game since the early '90's through a mixture of things the main one being married to a woman who simply didnt like rugby, finally after years of trying i got her to the under 19's game against the aussies at orell pre xmas, she loved it and well she gave the ok for a season ticket for the 2 of us (yes im hen pecked but there you go).
So onto the lack of atmosphere in the ground, bar the bronco's game of course it is at times awful of that theres no doubt so what to do to fix it..
Well i'd say the ground itself doesnt help leaving a big stand for the away supporters is all well and good but it needs to be filled if only with kids, youth club etc get it noisy with someone bar the few diehards from the away support.
Bring in a top class "bums of seats" type player, give me and im sure if you give us dross then we'll be quiet give us 100% and lose you'll see a very different set of supporters.
Prices it is expensive if you're taking the family with you the club wants more people in so cut prices would surely mean more people in and more money for the club it has to be better cutting prices by ammount X and getting a couple of thousand extra people in.
Things thst just annoy me,the music after every try how can you celebrate it when you have some god awful trance music billowing out im at a rugby game not a disco though i would add i'd have no objection to a bit of Pink Floyd but thats just personal choice

McLeod had a go on twitter at my comment saying it was a waste of time and money - it showed too. Yes, 2 people (a couple) turned up.
Leave the gameday alone in my opinion. We are an aged demographic.
Perhaps pre-walk out have commentator voice-overs with the music of classic moments
Apart from that leave gameday alone

put loud speakers in and pipe crowd noises and songs through it like they do in the South stand at Leeds and
make the West stand sing

I think as has been said it shouldn't be underestimated how much a star signing has on the crowds. People want to see the best not the could be the best or was the best.
if you were promoting gigs and trying to sell out your venue you'd be booking the most current top bands, not bands that are on the up or bands that used to be great in the 70's.
Same applies here, people want value for money, Trent Barrett was worth the ticket price on his own.
You cant expect a grade 1 turnout for grade 3 product

just picking up on this particular point - some of us may be older, but we wont be here for ever and times change, and for the club to continue to exist they need new customers / fans (its a business whether we like it or not)
the club need to find a way of attracting a younger generation as they will be the future of the club for years to come (and so on and so on), it will change again in 5, 10, 15 years time, with the development of social media and whatever is coming down the line. Who would have thought when we played at CP, that a few years down the line we would advertising on TV, twitter, facebook and whatever other sources are now available
i dont grumble about the entertainment now, but its not my cup of tea, and i'll quite happily applaud the singers / chinese acts etc that we have had on over the years
however Max etc are designed to get the young kids in and something to identify the club by, besides the team. My youngest has been to 2 games, but wanted a Max toy when i took her into the club shop
some fans want to get to the stadium 2 hours pre match and be entertained. i'm personally happy to rock up 10-15 minutes before the kick off and take my seat
i believe its a bit of a difficult one for the club as they wont please everyone, but need to find a way to keep us all happy and attract new fans
one thing that would have helped was more than 24 hours notice
