Nobody has said he merits automatic selection but if you ask somebody to play a position they have never played and they make mistakes then do not judge them harshly. BTW, so called real experts; coaches stuff up too or do you disagree with that premise given you present statements suits you but is clearly not reality, hence many get sacked and nobody keeps their position forever. Maybe somebody who wasan expert (Jack Gibson) knew more than ALL THE EXPERTS?
