Rocky started in the hull game at 6 when he played a lot of young lads and he got mom. Think its time wane and rads were honest with the lad hes 20 year old talent to burn as a half but its obvious the way wane likes to play he doesnt fit into his plans. Hes not going to play full back with sam coming back a position he hates anyway but will play anywhere for the team. In my eyes its wrong to say wel not sell you to leeds wire or sts as a 6 when wigan dont want him as one. Not even let him go on loan as a 6 this cannot be right. Rads and wane havr played the game its a short career. In the right hands and these are bill ashursts words this kid will play for GB hes sheer class even billy boston says the same. If wigan dont want let him go.now then but dont pick his club. Iv a feeling hel.be sat on his backside for the remainder of his contract if wane doesnt leave. Im not even sure wanes convinced with george either thats why he picked an injured powell before him in france. Rocky and george would be devastating as partners it wont happen under wane but thats his choice but dont ruin his career wane if you dont want him let him go to sts.

As solid as Matty Smith is he doesn't scare opposition defences that much.
Rocky and Williams at 6 and 7 with Smith as bench hooker if McIlorum can't do 80 is the way I'd go if I was Wigan coach.
I'd move Logan Tomkins and Powell on as they're squad fodder.
If Hampshire was available I'd collect him myself if Saints were interested.
Smith lacks one vital asset IMO, and that is speed.
Williams and particularly Hampshire have it by the bucket load.
One thing I will say and its irrespective of Hampshire staying at Wigan or him leaving Wigan, he will be more talked about for his future achievements in Rugby League than Matty Smith and Sam Powell, barring injury.

Amazes me that Smith our most experienced half needs to move to keep some wet dream of the dream duo alive. Smith and Williams are becoming a very good SUPER LEAGUE partnership. So we risk it on a player who added very little to our attack never mind his poor defending.
If been a good prospect was all it needed Shaun Ainscough would be starting for the Souths side by now. Academy level is not a a barometer of how great your career is going to be.
Williams has really developed and this is by playing with experience and you want Wane to risk it on a player who is not proven anything in SL.
Got to ask the question are people really blinded by if they are Wigan Youth they are an Immortal before even putting on the shirt.
Hell of a tackle by Smith for Hudds first try?
I agree did not help the mis read by the 2nd row either. Seeing that try it does make you wonder if a certain player has to go above waist and a certain player below. Seen it 2-3 times now and looks like the smallest player goes for legs the biggest upper body. Maybe its the reason for so many defences mistakes by Sarge recently.

I think your right, the players don't seem able to, or are being pushed away from taking the legs. Any decent leg tackle from that distance out at least takes the ball carrier down before he reaches the try line, the offload is then down to others.

It won't need a 14 million to one bet to see who's the best in 18 months time and I know where I'd edge my bet.

Hmm good use of the English language Gimble,Rocky has not been outstanding is because he,s been playing out of position in my opinion. When was the last time he played at 7? Answer non yet we persever with Smith who at best is an average halfback with a poor kicking game.He has however been hooking in his previous clubs.
yeah i agree Rocky is outstanding

Both outstanding players, just need the opportunity together to prove it.
