If people want to happy clapp or whine the end of the world in nigh that is their choice. They all have the same rights. Personally, I concentrate when watching a game, occasionally support/clap and/or stew silently is the game is poop.
Don't think that will help. Atmosphere at central park in 90s was always crap. Much better at away games.
It always will be Mike with fans in 'enemy territory', grouped together, up against it. The best atmosphere at the DW IMO was our relegation escape / cap season under Noble. CP I loved but I was in the Spion Kop and more interested in the view/watching games than noise. I did like the Rocket Ronnie cameo period.

I think we need to adopt a 'club song'. Everybody's got one - even the latics! My own preference would be 'down by the riverside', but it would need to be something that would appeal to all ages. Perhaps we should have some (serious) suggestions followed by a poll?
A word of encouragement during a failure is worth more than an hour of praise after success.

I think the main attraction for me is uncertainty of outcome. However, this season everything is uncertain, for all sorts of reasons! How supporters could leave early on Friday was beyond me. The lads needed to show up and did and they deserved their applause. I guess for some the last bus is early!
I'd come & sit up there if it wasn't for all the steps  :( I do hear those up at the back :)
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

the noise we make away from home is a 1000 times better as every one more or less is together where as at home people are spread out all over the ground as previous post have said. This said the lack of atmosphere at the DW is diabolical from our home fans , get behind the lads and sing your hearts for them they are our team and no matter what results we get we should give them our support 110%
Wigan is and always will be a town of Cherry & White
