The Matty Smith signing seemed to be smooth between the 2 clubs.
Unlike the days of the Mickey Higham transfer saga
Who was the last player to go from Wigan to Saints? I can't think of anyone since Bill Francis!
I seem to remember Joey Heyes, the Saints phsyo having a stint at Wigan. Thought he played for us against Saints and was shoulder charged in the face by an ex Waterloo RU player whose name I can't recall. But he was a really dirty player. Joey went off. Can't find any record of him ever playing for us tho'
I can remember a similar incident involving our player which was Rob Smyth and the saints player I think was Andy Northey.
Here is a youtube video of it;

Didn't Bobby Goulding go via Widnes? He played for them in the 1993 CC Final and should have been sent off for his attack on Offiah.

Their fans would be in uproar especially if he came to us.
Imagine what would happen to their season ticket sales.
Saints fans would be revolting!

Percival to Wigan is not happening. Why would Wigan need to bring in another centre, albeit a very good one, when they have Gelling who makes more metres than any other centre, then Oliver Gildart who at 20 years of age is progressing very well. Then just behind those two there is 19 year old Jack Higginson, a superb prospect IF he can stay injury free and and maintain his focus/composure which has been a bit of a problem with him at times over the last couple of years.

Higginson is a half decent stand in goalkicker. Perhaps with a bit more practice he could use his kicking ability to secure his place in the team.
