Who should replace him? Who can get the under 19's and a busted squad winning matches again? No easy task, Wane is doing ok and he'll be hurting every bit as much as we are :exc:
He is not doing OK. He is part of the problem. His subs for Wakey turned the game in their favour, he subs by the clock and seems to think regardless of who is on the bench they are as good as those out long term injured such as FLower and Clubb.
He is asking inexperienced players to play as seasoned pros and quite clearly simply cannot adapt his tactics when they can't.
Turning down easy penalties when you have a bust side it tactical naivety of the highest order. Doing this once you can blame the players for but doing it again? The coach should have insisted the two points are taken.
Wane is a very fortunate coach in that when we do have a full squad out it has the quality to beat any side but I am now firmly of the belief his influence on recent successes is very small.
We are in a kind of John Dorahy situation. With a full team out we win despite the coach. The team is good enough to pull it off. A few injuries and when that quality is not on the pitch Wane doesn't have a tactical clue how to mitigate the situation and pull results out. Results that were there for the taking.

Escare on the other hand!
And Gelling. Every opposition coach has our game plan sussed. Gelling is the maverick they cannot account for!
We are missing two centres but its our own fault. We went into the season with just the two (and Gildart who I really rate still learning).
We have done this before and got away with it (Sarge, Gelling and Thornley when he was out for nearly all season) by playing Bateman there but while we have forwards coming out of our ears who are up to SL standard we have no depth at all in the centres.
It's like being without a specialist goal kicker. We got away with it previously. Well not any more. Lack of centres and still no one who can kick goals reliably have caught up with us.
