Are you really serious?
Tbh, it was a bit tongue-in-cheek. However, I seriously think it wouldn't be a bad idea to have him on a pay-as-you-play contract.
Gaz is still capable of mixing it with the best, good offload and runs good lines - better than most of our forwards? Dodgy temperament, yes, but if he blew up, we wouldn't be paying him. Ditto injuries.
Another advantage - he could get a lift with Gels on his BMX :doz:
If he does go(and hes on a massive chunk of our salary),lets replace him with a world class centre or half who can kick goals please.......... as for hock, i still think he would do s good job at prop for one season( pay as you go)......imo he could have been one of thr best ever with his undoubted talent and puts fear into the opposition.....When we played leigh ,at home ,FPN was avoiding him big time
IF YOU STRIKE ME DOWN I WILL BECOME MORE POWERFUL THAN YOU CAN POSSIBLY IMAGINE
Since it was first rumoured some time ago FPN's partner was unhappy you'd imagine the club knew long before us and started making preparation for his replacement.
Hamlin certainly won't be wearing the 8 shirt so an incoming player probably will or should be. Hamlin will take Bretherton's place and maybe Navarette's too. Likely Tierney maybe Catalan bound.
With the available salary cap amount there, one would think the club will sign at least one player of significance if not more.
Certainly some of it is down to the player involved. I don't fully buy this "It's the way SW tells his props how to play" argument. That is not a get out of jail free card.
Not saying there's nothing in that; I accept it's a factor, but I'm sure Wane doesn't tell them to drop the ball regularly in contact.

I think FPN looks like a fish out of water. It's not a new thing for Wigan to sign a player and then ask him to play different than what his strengths are. We did it before Wane was coach as well, as in Moran! We seem to have made the same mistake several times since Wane took over.

IIRC didn't Wane suffer by being played out of position for Wigan at times?

Being played out of position "at times" is not the same as being asked to play a different game in your own position permanently.

If it's true I really hope we get to see something from him next year. I don't think people should underestimate how hard it can be to move to the other side of the world, there have been plenty moving in both directions who haven't been able to make a success of it. That doesn't mean people shouldn't be disappointed by his performances though.
I think criticism should be aimed more at the club if he still doesn't improve. They signed a player who wasn't playing well and wasn't wanted by his current club and gave him a 3 and a half year deal. Ultimately if he doesn't play well they've made a mistake.
He's gone CP.

Would any of you do or be able to do your job to your capability if every time you got home you got earache?
She never attended any games she didn’t socialised with the other players wives & they didn’t attend team/club get togethers!
Not true, she was at many of the games.
Apologies if true, it’s what I’ve been told

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
