We don't often get the chance to go all together my kids (big kids now) work commitments usually prevent this. I retired last week so I will probably end up going probably against my better judgment as I have plenty time on my hands now . The casual attitude the RFL and Sky have towards the fans just isn't right. Thanks to NSDU (Brian) for calming me down lol.

I don't think so. I would probably react in a similar way if I were in your position.

From a "bigger picture" perspective though, Sky is the way forward for RL. There will always be positives and negatives around it.

Whether the current deal and T&C's are the best mix of the above is another matter.

EW, you're a star supporter and top man. I live 60 miles from Wigan and complain about travelling on the M62, nothing compared with you.

Not only distance, but most of us who travel have chosen to move away for work/family etc. You are a convert to RL and you show dedication that puts many of us to shame.

You don't deserve the messing about you're getting over this match. Imo, though it's Sky who decide, they can only do so because the clubs allowed them to, thus taking the supporters for granted.

My point is that if IL paid for your trip, it would be the kind of gesture that may restore faith in "the club", particularly after the recent Tomkins episode.

I'll look out for you on Thursday and gladly contribute to your costs. If you need a lift from the station (Leeds), just pm me or say so on here.

Cheers and have a good trip.

Top man MPE. Me and my kids love RL I have followed it since the Granstand days in the 60's. My kids have bought into it big time as well and I am pretty sure it is not just the rugby but the people that support Rl and all the good times we have had since we started to watch the game "live". The laughs and the good times we have had and will continue to have are beyond cost. The administration of the game frustrates the life out of me though.

PS I am a GRUMPY OLD MAN lol .

Regards and thanks EW

That's the worst possible thing to do. The clubs lose revenue "through the gate" and therefore rely even more on Sky money which gives Sky even more power to do as they please.

I think that my agreement with Pedro's post implicitly acknowledges the very point you make see my post top of page 2 this topic.

P. S 250 miles WW ( snurch)????

Well there you go 250 miles then, even easier still to stay away.
A fan has a passing interest, a supporter puts money into the club. Your mate Medicine tried the same scenario about twelve months trying to discourage folk from buying season tickets, as has been said it's dumb practice.
