who was in the squad bakc then mike?
I'll sneak in before Mike...
From memory...
Edwards, ferguson, Stephenson, Donlan, Gill, Kenny, Ford, Courtney, Kiss, Case, West, Dunn, Potter.
subs, Du Toit and (I think) Campbell
at the time didnt edwards become the youngest player to play at wembley ,to be beaten by cummings of leeds
Almost! It was the '84 final that he set that record (also playing at full back) - we lost to Widnes 19-6. Can't remember all the team from that game (sorry!) but I think only about 5 survived to go in '85...Edwards, Case, Stephenson, Gill & West.

........er?
What's the challenge cup? :conf:
:sarc: What I wouldn't give to see Warrington win that.
(sighs)
31years...it just doesn't seem fair.
I envy you all being able to choose your favourite win.
My favourite Wigan win was your last(for some time I hope) because you were actually the underdogs for a change, for that very reason I sat in Murryfield and swayed my neutral support towards the blues for a one off.

Yeah that was a good final for that reason didn't seem like many Wigan fans on the road up (They must have gone a different way to us!!!!)
My first was '91 still remember going up the steps and seeing the word wembley in the chairs at the other end!
I've still got a poster of Offiah in full flight during that try somewhere lived on my wall for years! One of my favourite tries had to be Offiah running crab like with the fullback after him to score under the sticks think it might have been Cas (can't really remember).
But my favourite memory had to be in '93. we hung around after the game to avoid the traffic played touch rugby in the car park, before the team buses turned up and the players came out. I got to hold the challenge cup and got autographs of most of my favourite Wigan players.
Oh to be back there!!! Roll on the next win
