Please enlighten us, what makes you think he's on a big chunk?Lumbernator wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 2:11 am Yes Mago did a good job tonight, he played 20 minutes and was goosed. Just imagine your own yob and they said just work for 1 hour in the day. Cheers easy thank you very much I'll pocket 1 oversees spot and a big chunk, the big man has all the ability in the world just no engine. All the rest of the big shots are putting in 20-25 mins each match.
Mago

These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

He's an odd one.
Seems to be able to make yards at will, yet just isn't fit enough.
You would have thought they would have him running through the plantations every day?

Re: Mago
He's supposed to be an impact prop. Why does everyone want him playing for 60 minutes, that's not his role at all. Fair enough - his last few appearances have not been good as an impact prop or anything else, but against Wire he did the job he was asked to do, IMO was effective at it and that was a big step forward. More of that please. 20-25 minutes is more than enough around half time.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 3:49 pm He's an odd one.

BTW its always struck me as odd when coaches bring on a prop after 20 mins, they play til half time and then are replaced after the break, then come back on later. Surely you save a whole substitution if you use the HT break as their rest. Maybe its just not long enough for true recovery - I'm not a physio?
Re: Mago
Friday should be his blueprint to rebuild from. We have big minutes props, so if Mago does 20 mins, making good impact and stays error free, that is absolutely fine. He put the high risk offload away (making just one offload but it was a comfortable one iirc) and just concentrated on denting the line.
I’ve bagged him recently after an absolute joke of a performance at Huddersfield but that was a decent comeback and we need not much more than that week to week now.

Absolutely agree regarding KPP. I think his stint at Warrington was by far the toughest I've seen him play. He's really picked up over the last few games

Yes he did ok against wire just kept it simple instead of crazy offloads all the time, he’s here rest of season so may as well use him if he carries on like that, like Mike says play him 15 minutes either side of half time that way he gets a break in middle of spell and we get 30 minutes out of him without losing a substitution
