It amazes me how some people can suddenly think that just because we are going on an organised pub crawl there is going to be trouble.
I'm pretty sure there won't be trouble, although some of the messages on here seem to suggest some people would be quite happy to cause trouble with virtually no provokation at all. Indeed, the fact it's an organised pub crawl pretty much guarantees the club will take a hard line against anyone who does decide to cause bother and drags the name of Wigan through the mud. AFAIK there was no hint of trouble last time Wigan went to France, and certainly nothing the time before that, so there's no reason to think (assuming our tight-shirted friend doesn't go!) that there will be trouble this time.

I'm hoping you forgot the sarcasm smilie for this message. From memory the centre of Perpignan is quite tidy, there was very little mess (at least, before the Wiganers arrived!)

I'm not a bad guy, but i've had a few run ins with stains fans over the years. C'mon i'm not squeaky clean, just like if someone decided to take a swing at me on a night out, or having a meal etc. I won't stand for it. I always fight fairly though. No kicking when down etc. :sly:

Invade?? Show them not to mess?? Technically you will be going to their home - and I don't know how you were raised, but I was taught to behave when I am a guest in someone elses home.

On exactly what grounds do you want to fight - because they support a different team to you?

Any trangressions by Wigan fans will reflect very poorly on the club and I would imagine they (and the RFL) will take pretty firm action with any repressed dimwit that wants to fight half of France (probably the half that is smaller than they are).

Rugby League is a family game where the aggression is on the pitch - I really think that you would be better off with your soccer mates than posting on here

Does it hurt much having your knuckles scrape on the ground as you walk?

I was gutted when they chose a date for this fixture when I couldn't go, but maybe I'll enjoy our second trip more without retards like 'pie eaters'.

Ok, the name-calling is starting to go both ways so I'm going to have to ask people to be a bit more restrained and not call each other idiots, retards, morons or whatever, no matter how much you might disagree with someone else's views. We've warned some people in the past about this, so I've got to be fair and warn other people as well.

If anyone steps out of line I'll be sending the lads round to teach them a lesson...! (not serious).
