I think we need to give Dupree and Byrne some credit as well, they bossed Walmsley.EagleEyePie wrote: βSat Aug 17, 2024 7:26 pm I thought our pack did the job today and made it so we were fairly comfortable for most of the match. I think that helped Keighran and Farrimond because we didn't have to chase the game so could play a fairly conservative attacking game.
Nsemba was outstanding. He was making metres for fun and it's scary how he's got the footwork of an outside back with all that power. To have Thompson, Ellis, Havard, Nsemba and Walters all around the 100 metre gained mark shows how dominant we were.
The only negatives are any potential ban for Ellis (though arguably a rest could do him some good) and the injury to Farrell in the warm up. I've mentioned several times how risky it was to play our established players for all 3 games during the 10 day turnaround and while injuries can happen at any time I don't think it's a stretch to suggest not giving him a rest may have contributed to this.
Farrimond is a natural 7.
Dupree got another bad hit in the head!Charriots Offiah wrote: βSat Aug 17, 2024 10:29 pmI think we need to give Dupree and Byrne some credit as well, they bossed Walmsley.EagleEyePie wrote: βSat Aug 17, 2024 7:26 pm I thought our pack did the job today and made it so we were fairly comfortable for most of the match. Yes, I know he did I was trying to point out the amount of head knocks heβs had in reply to all the negative comments about his play in previous games.Charriots Offiah wrote: βSat Aug 17, 2024 11:11 pmYes but he played well today.josie andrews wrote: βSat Aug 17, 2024 11:00 pmDupree got another bad hit in the head!Charriots Offiah wrote: βSat Aug 17, 2024 10:29 pm
