listen they wouldn't give too hoots about the quality of the game if they'd won and neither do I, a wins a win
Hmm, it was a bit scrappy at times but very good at other times, sprinkle in two bits of magic for Field's tries and some brutal defence by Nsemba, O'Neil, Smith and French we are a hard to please bunch
Another perspective, watched with relatives and in Gloucester (so the Wade signing got tongues wagging) we were all entertained and on the edge of our seats at the end.

Great game. Smithy and our two wingers were excellent as well.

Under one high kick and that was swerving all

Wigan never looked like losing that game and Saints only came into it in the last 10 minutes through our errors. We had a tough game at HKR, Saints had a relatively easy game against Wakefield. Get our props back and we roll them no problem. Let’s see how both teams perform next week.

Same here. You didn’t notice the quality of the game at the ground. At 18-14 the atmosphere was electric and then when Miski went over to make it 22-14 the place erupted.

My impression of the game were Saints made more errors than us early on but two of our errors led to the tries to make it 18-14 but what won it for us was in my opinion pinning them down to their end of the pitch with some good field kicking a top quality chase to tackle them in the 10m. Did that time and again.

As to the referee very inconsistent and Saints were at times miles offside but the video ref? Good grief how long did he take trying NOT to award Misk’s first try?

The ball clearly went backwards from the kick so if a player touched a player it didn’t matter if it was a Wigan or Saints player.

Whatever, I am going to have a very pleasant Easter weekend :D
The VR’s explanation of Smith’s disallowed try was bizarre as well. He said that Dupree had gone through the line, stood still and didn’t interfere with play, he then chalked the try off for Tyler preventing the Saints lad making the tackle. In my view it was a poor decision as Delaney was well beaten before he came into contact with Dupree.

I think Firestarter was being sarcastic, Josie.

Had he not been binned I think Sam Walters would be got MOM. Smith was pivotal though in the win.
Ha right I was at the game & only just watching it back I understand now 😂
Yes i think they only said it 100 times.Bugs me how they make them into wordbeaters from the off.Way too much pressure

O’Neill makes a massive difference to our defence.
