Please don't use txtspk and abbreviations. I reserve the right to edit any such message and try and translate them back into English - they may not end up saying what you want! Thank you.

When it comes down to it, Wigan have never actually stated that we have got Noble.
Half of the problem is postings stating we have signed him, or I saw it in the tea leaves, or my best friends next doors neighbours doctors goldfish said.
I think there is probably a good chance that we have got him, but Bradford are being fair to the fans and I hope that it would be announced at the game so that they can give him the send of he deserves (unlike the opportunity we were not given to say farewell to Faz).
No come on now. MO has indicated that we would reveal our next coach soon. Soon was last tuesday. 2 games played 2 gaes lost again.
Mo has ben more in the media this week than all season and he has made it look like Noble was coming. Hes the 1 saying were talking to him in the next day. Hes the 1 doing all the rumoring. So do not blame any on here for this 1.
Yes there are many rumors on here but when a MO says them and acts like hes got his man then its all of his making.

Lindsay had earlier told Wigan's website the club were "on the brink of making an announcement" and hoped the new coach would be able to take up his post early next week ahead of their game with Huddersfield.
Maybe Brian is ready for a new challenge
Maurice Lindsay
He also said their preferred choice was "a man of quality and integrity" with a "terrific track record".
"No decision has been made but it looks as if the timing might be in our favour," Lindsay told Sport on Five.
Yes you can read between the lines, but we have not actually stated we have got him.
Like I said, I hope we have, but after yesterdays performance would you come to this club?

Reading the BBC story on this last Thursday (
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_l ... 905294.stm) it was hoped that the new person would be here before the Huddersfield game. That could mean we don't know until Friday.

Again, from the same article, Maurice says that Noble would be a strong candidate if he were to consider the position, along with Lam and "two of the greatest coaches in Australia". He seems to state a preference for Noble, but doesn't count anything out. As I've said elsewhere, this isn't totally in Maurice's hands. Going so public is a brave thing to do, and the Bradford chairman also seems to want to play the same game with his public announcements, but it's Nobby's decision at the end of the day.

Bill Arthur tried to get an answer off Noble after the Bulls game tonight, and Noble wouldn't comment - said he was still thinking about it.

The way I read it - and it's probably wrong, is that Noble is coming.
He didn't want a grand announcement made at the game. Probably wanted to go back into the changing room to his winning team (it might be a while until he experiences that again), say his farewells, and the public announcement will be made tomorrow.
Or is that just wishful thinking... :eusa10:

I agree with this. After reading about the Bulls' board making an effort to keep him, I would have thought that tonight, with the fans staying behind flying their "please stay" banners would have been the perfect platform for Noble to announce he was staying, but he didn't. Therefore, I expect to read tomorrow that he is still coming.

I missed the game, but with the way Jimmy worded his post, what he says does make alot of sense. He would have been in a perfect situation to announce he is staying.
Also having just read this from The Independent, which is normally as acurate a paper as you can get, it also suggests he will be the new Wigan coach. His realtionship with the current Bradford board and the new chairman seems to have fallen down totally. Lets hope for that announcement, one way or the other, enough time has been given now for him to decide, it's been a week almost, and time is another thing we dont have on our side.
Bradford said a fond farewell to Brian Noble with a display that carried enough echoes of their achievements under his coaching. The Bulls, with Stuart Fielden rampant and Terry Newton making a fine debut, were too good for Huddersfield, whose former hero, Robbie Paul, could not inspire them on his return to Odsal.
This was a match played out against the backdrop of two Bradford directors trying to persuade Brian Noble to stay rather than take up Wigan's offer. Banners at the ground showed that the Bulls' fans felt the same way, although the informed word was that it was too late to induce their coach to change his plans. His relationship with the club's chief executive, Gareth Davies, now appears to be so bad that he is unlikely to back-track.
