Dobson is not the answer and neither are Hill,McAvoy,Wilkes or James.
This club is in a desperate state brought about by mind-bogglingly dumb management for far too long.
I like Noble both as a person and a coach and he has had to change things at halfback but he hit the nail on the head when he said there are very few players available.Dobson in an ideal world would not have made the top ten half backs on his Christmas list.
Wigan are clutching at straws.
1st the departure of Moran :- this guy would of been a sensation if Farrel had stoped fit. His strength was always backing up the creative players. His downfall was that Ian Milward thought he coud be a creative scrum half. He will be hurting but despite his demise at Wigan he is a player that gives his all
Now Dobson:- He is not the last straw, he was an asset at Cambera and an asset at Catalan and now he is going to be a sensation at Wigan. The old saying if your good enough your old enough comes into play with this boy. A commendation off David Furner is a rare and joyful push to let all know that this kid is special. How many players could up sticks travel 12,000 miles to a foreigne country and make good in a new untried super league team such as Catalan. This kid did . I just hope we are in a positiuon to extend his contract at the end of this season

79 points in twelve games!! Sounds good enough to me. Think that says everything

Hopefully my 12 year old will start to come to games again now there seems to be some direction in the club, at the moment he would prefer to play football around the street than come to matches. A waste of a season ticket that I got him, but it was getting close to me having a kick about as well. The glass is half full!

This kid did it be because he was 4th grade at Canberra. I hope he does well but dont pin all your hopes on him.

you may be right, but we were certainly going down with moran controling the game.
at least nobby has had the guts to do what had to be done. the young lad can't be any worse in attack or defence!
As opposed to who? Millward? Once again,
it was Mo who prevented Millward from removing both Orr and Moran this season!!

it seems we are so DESPERATE that if a player has a good game on televsion we must sign him.whem moran signed he was the best thing since sliced bread.i am afraid the same thing MAY happen again.a star shines in a good team not a team struggling.RE LONG

So you would have been happier for us not to do anything but continue down the same dead end that we've been going down these past few months? :doz:
Yes, the same thing MAY happen again, or it MAY NOT - unless you've got access to a crystal ball or time machine then no-one can possible know. Bit of stating the obvious really...

He didn't just have a good game on tv, he has played well for the past 3 months. Scoring 79 Points in 12 games and creating plenty more. I am STILL of the opinion that we will not go down. Sorry to mention the "F" word, but do you think that the teams at the bottom of the Premiership were discussing relegation only half way through the season. Admittedly we have got quite a hill to climb but it isn't quite a mountain yet. If Harlequins lose a few and we can get on a little bit of a roll we will overtake them and the same can be said for 3 or 4 teams. Moran hasn't performed to expectations and I was even trying to defend him a few months ago, saying he is a finisher not a midfield general. If an office worker is consistently poor at work they will be sacked. Even the Army gets rid of soldiers if they are not up to standard. Getting rid of Moran and replacing him with Dobson wasn't IMO a knee jerk reaction, it was just coincidence that Dobson became available at a time when we needed an organiser and playmaker more than ever in the last 20 years that I have been watching the team.

I think we've already got lots of other message threads on this same subject.
