I can accept he was a good player and he did a lot for the team but I could see what he did wrong and was let to get away with at the club. Edwards got away with a lot at the club and thought he was running the place and so did Farrell.

Personally he was not my type of player, I don’t like bullies!
Jesus man! You do not realise how much we miss Farrell. It's not being a bullie, it's just having some balls to lead other players by example, and that's just what Farrell did for us. The greatest player in the Superleague era without doubt!
If Lockers ever achieves even a smidgen of what Farrell has for this club, he would have done good!

We have proved that there is life after Farrell and we are managing well enough without him. He is now a waste of money because he is injury prone,

and lets face it he is so far over the hill, that you can no longer see him!!!!
I don't think any of the current team is quite upto being able to win games for us single-handed, as I remember Farrell doing against London Broncos at Griffin Park about 3 or 4 years ago...
I have never yet seen a rugby team that consists of just one player, the last time i looked you needed 13 starters and 4 subs,
Saints are just wiganers who haven't fully evolved

Then I guess you didn't see that particular game in London. A bit of Googling brings up the report, and Farrell's contribution cannot be understated, he was immense in the 2nd half of that game:

Thats the whole point now we are playing as a team. Faz left people need to get over it. Yes he was a great player for us. WAS.

Given a choice of players we need Faz is not one of them. 2-3 years ago yes not now.

People think he will comeback and play at the level he did. Hes not played in 2 years almost now and is injury prone.

Faz is from another era of our club.

Noble, Fielden are the future we do not need to go back. Rads returned and is doing a decent job but he is not the players he was.

The last time i saw a man make a big difference in a game was Fielden on his debut against the Wolves. That was a few weeks ago not 3 to 4 years ago.

If we stay up and its still a possibility we could go down then Noble needs to recruit in areas where we are weak and the pack apart from 1 prop is the strongest in SL.

Orr is playing well now and Barrett to come in.

Backs we need 1 centre and we can next season win SL.

We do not need Faz. If as the original post says his family has not settled there then hes coming back for his family and not for us.

I'm no Faz fan. As a person I think he sucks.
However his rugby brain his leadership skills and presence are missed. He's a big act to replace and I would have him back if only to gee up the team.
He had a way of getting them going and was a very good player for us for a long time.
The only other Captain we've had that could get the troops in order was Edwards.
We have a great team in the making but he would add the polish IMO.
