Just seen the post from emma warriors, and afraid I agree with wiresphs. In another thread I stated my dislike for Morley because of the way he goes about his business, and it would be hypocritical of me to condone the deliberate injuring of a player.

wirephs, the vast majority of Wigan fans I guess wouldn't share this view but either, like me, hadn't seen the post until now, or choose to treat the comment with the comtempt it deserved.

Comments like this enable fans to tar all Wigan fans with the same brush, but am equally sad that you choose to categorise all wigan fans the same, something which I equally DIDN'T expect to come from a rugby league fan.

To keep it simple I think a quote from Homer J Simpson suits that photo best.

:conf: Fair comment, but you`re not telling me that everyone who has replied to this thread, has not seen this post, i would guess that most have, but have chose not to condone.
Also, if you take time to look at other forums, you will see that there has been a huge amount of bile posted,with regards to a player who is simply doing a job for his club and a vast majority of the posts make me feel a little sad and let down as a rugby league fan when you read the content. Also, they dont do much to enhance the reputation of the Wigan fans, do they?
Banter is one thing, out and out abuse is another, dont you agree? :conf:

i didnt not see the comment, i just chose to ignore as if you pull a user up about something, sometimes it can get a little out of hand.

Hmmm, whilst I don't personally agree with pre-emptive attacks on players, there's a video in my collection somewhere to which I've added the label "fight night", it was from the opening game of 2001 when a certain Warrington team visited the JJB and were involved in a number of fights, and had two players sent off. I seem to recall one Tawera Nikau being involved in most of what went on that night, being rightly sent-off before the end of the game. Perhaps reading this might refresh your memory:

An entertaining match, in its own way, although I'm still surprised Steve Renouf's head stayed attached to his body with the high shots that Khwe-Love was putting in.

The sad thing is, it`s a statement that i would expect to come from a so-called fan of Wigan RLFC and to justify my point, not one other so called Wigan fan has found time to condone the content of this post, "(VERY SAD INDEED)"!

It didn't contravene any site rules so I've left it there. People can agree or disagree as they wish. As I say, I don't totally agree with it myself, but there are players in every team who are not angels and are more than capable of inflicting injury on other players, your big-name signing for next year being another great example...

Perhaps we haven't condoned it because we don't agree with it? I did see it, but just ignored it. I'm not quite sure I understand where you're coming from here - you say it's sad that no-one condones it, yet presumably you don't either.
Had you said that it was sad that no-one condemns it, I might have understood.

Sorry if my comments have offended people but after the match on sunday that is how i felt and was just giving my honest opinion of briers and the fact im a wigan fans nothing to do with it

yes ok its wrong to want to injure a player which i dont want to do its just he needs telling because he really winds me up!
