From what I can gather from my sources down under he has been unhappy with various elements of the trip such as our coaching, training and team selection.

I haven't heard any stories of a bust up or a walk out.

According to the SMH in Aus, several players are unhappy about Newton being selected in front of Roby. Terry certainly is not helping repay Nobles faith. He has been poor IMO. However, you cannot have players dictating to coaches. I do wonder if the Saints group have operated as a clique on Tour.

We'll probably never know the real reason why he's left.
Gambling, drinking, wife having a baby, bust up with the coaching staff.
When it boils down to it he's gone and we will have to get on with it.
I must admit, as a coach I wouldn't be happy knowing one of my players has been having talks with NRL clubs whilst on tour (allegedly, to prevent being Fraggled).
Don't think his position was safe after the NZ game, but then again, what scrum half could have performed when the pack had no domination?

He has hopeless against the Kiwis in Wellington and the whole team know they're going to cop it big time in front of a big home crowd this saturday night up in brisbane.

The rest of the GB squad will also be flying home next Sunday.

I wouldnt say 'reinterested', theres always been interest in it. Just not as much as a State of Origin or a Grand Final for each test, but then again, after all the stupd rules, what do you expect ?

The fans and public who watch the game briefly, dont know whos playing for what country anymore, the rules need to be clarified.

And then its at the end of a long regular NRL season with the cricket approaching and the soccer season in full swing leading into summer.

Sydney isnt the Rugby League capital of Australia anymore, its more spread out now.

I actually live under the flightpath for Sydney airport and was outside painting some garden furniture yesterday afternoon in the summer weather and noticed the departing Intl flights were taking off over my house, If I knew Sean Long was on one of those flights, I would have waved him goodbye. I doubt anyone on this forum would be particularly bothered whether you did or didn't. Try the St Helens forum. You might get more of a bite there.

It was on the radio this morning that before Long had decided to return home they were already debating whether to play Maguire, Burrow or Horne at scrum-half. Apparently the team manager was quoted as saying that.
