Early next week go to the bookies and put money on 2 bets. Next week will tell us a lot

1 for us to be relegated at 200/1 seems a good bet now.


2. Us to beat the Quins.

Reason why. If we are real relegetion fodder then we will get hammered by the Quins or the other option is they come out so fired up that the Quins will get blitzed in the first 30 minutes.

Either way next week will tell us a lot.

1st half we were diabolical
2nd half we looked a good side.

Next week a lot of questions gets answered.

Especially which seat Ashton will be sitting in. Or will he have to pay to come in.

I think the problem is we saw how Nobby turned the team last season into a top 4 team, so we expected more this season and it is not happening. At the moment the only conclusion I can draw is that we weakened the team by replacing Godwin, Dobson, Orr, Mcavoy, Logan, Dallas with Leulia, Bailey, Barrett, Millard, Withers.

I have faith in Barrett but at the moment I worry we have signed others who are either not good enough or at the wrong time in their careers.

Re Barrett I agree with DaveO in that we should have kept Orr.
I have been on hols and only got back this am. I have just watched the Bradford game and Barrett is so far ahead of his colleagues in terms of quality it is embarrasing.
As much as I admire Baz he is wasted playing with this poor bunch. We should have spent the cash on 2 props.
We started the Bulls game with Fielden, Higham, Feca, Hock, Fletch and Lockers. IMO this is a good starting line up and we played well when this pack was on the field. However, after 27 mins we had a pack of O'Carrol, Millard, Prescott, Hock, Hansen, Lockers and we got a hiding. Things only improved when we reverted to the original line up in the latter stages.
IMO this will happen to us all season. We have a massive gulf in class between out starting line up and our bench and this will be our downfall.
I obviously can't comment on last night other to say I was totally hacked off with the txts I was receiving in sunny Barbados!!

To get nilled in the fist half by ANYONE at home is nothing short of a catastrophe. Basil must be laughing his balls off. He walks off into the sunset with the big payoff in his arse pocket and our continued pathetic performances are slowly rebuilding his reputation!

I don't know what the problem is but it isn't coach related since a change of coach hasn't made a great deal of difference. I hope Nobby doesn't emulate Basil, i.e. finishing a season strongly then making a disastrous start next term. :eusa10:

After almost 24 hours and calming down. You do have apoint.

1st half we were that bad that a NL2 side would have done us.

2nd half we were much the better side i can only remeber them in our 20 twice in that half.

Problem was the damage was done. Now which team do we have the 1st half relegation certanties or the second half side which looked a decent side.

Big week next week biggest in a long while in terms of what the side is going to do. Win and things will brighten up lose and then hope the Giants lose all games throught the season or we could be in trouble just like last year.

I have watched the Stains Bradford game today and just admired the commitment shown by both sides.
"That was more painful to admit than you know"

1. Any player who argues backchats the ref gets a weeks wage fine.
2. Make the entire team walk round the town and apologise to all us fans and warn them that this will happen every week unless they step up.

Work on supporting the ball carrier time after time we break the line but have zero supporting options.The saints game reminded me of how effective a simple game plan can be.
Drop any player who believes that he is better than the team. For me the only players who deserve to be exempt from this are Micky,Trent,Fletch and Calders.
Thats 4 players who should get shinny gold badges one is injured and one was dropped last week. Read int that what you want.

I think Hock has a passion for it but other aspects of his game are letting him down.

What struck me about what you said about the four players is that last season we had several other players who would have got that shiny gold badge for effort. Rads when he came back, Godwin, Dallas and Orr.

The players that have replaced those are either off-form, injured or just not good enough but what is worse (Barrett excepted) the replacements don't seem to have the same professional ethic of those we have lost.

Plus, not forgetting the other foulmouthed tirade, to the trainers about his studs in his boots?
