Sam is maybe taking the best offer given to him which is not just about the British pound, and hopefully it will be at WWRLFC.
Financially I am convinced that rugby onion would have provided Sam with a far better offer.

I agree, and I would suspect there would be some clubs both here and in the NRL who may beat it financially. I don't believe it is simply down to finances alone.

Of course the transfer matters. If the Warriors have paid Wigan the full amount already then somebody the club and/or Sam has to compensate them or if NZW have only received 2/3rds then what happens re the remaining 1/3? Sam pays it or Wigan write it off if Sam re signs for us. See what I mean re the best deal.
All of the above is meaningless in terms of deciding whether or not we made him the best offer. If he comes back to us it is because we made him the best offer. That's the reason behind him leaving NZ isn't it?
What else have we got to offer? He isn't homesick and he's going to be coached by a donkey.
The best offer on paper may not be the best offer if it means Sam has to pay money back to somebody else. Capiche
Less insults of our donkey thankyou. If Sam had been here last season we would have won the double :thum: If Sam returns then we have a chance of winning the double again in 2016. Great Wigan teams are capable of achieving despite being led by a donkey. John Dorahay / Shaun Wane - EEae EEaw

So then he wouldn't take that offer, if as you say he is looking to maximise his financial return. Capiche

If I was Sam I would take the offer from the UK that offers him the best opportunity to maximise his earnings during and post playing.
If it was me I would have remained in the NRL and proved myself.
Am I glad he is back with us, yes albeit I think he has let himself down badly quite a few times. If Sam plays full back and we get George / Rocky as our halfbacks, AWESOME.
A ? for you or anybody. Who was/is the better NRL player; Matty Bowen or Sam Tomkins?
Capiche

Response to your bottom bit. Matty Bowen had an exceptional career at the NQC but for us he has been okish. Good at times but
nowhere near what Sam was for us and will be next season.
But i do not care which one was the better in the NRL.
Only which one has been the better in a Wigan shirt.

Makes perfect sense from your POV. Nothing wrong with that either. I am a bigger picture person :smil:

Please stop with insults cp, it brings you down to the level of the village d**khead & doesnt become you.
You're supposed to be above all this being a teacher & should be setting an example to others.
Your knowledge of the game is without question but these constant insults of the coach & players of Wigan Warriors is way beneath even you.
