A bit harsh on Pryce, as he didn't play, but I agree with you.
The evidence illustrates that we have a coach who coached a team that was adrift at the bottom up to 7th, then turned them into a team that finished with the 4th best record in the league for the last 2 seasons and has gone well enough to be at least 3rd in the play offs on each occasion.
Given the team he took over and the problems he has faced (eg TB leaving, salary cap, not playing at the JJB) he has done enough for me to show that he is a good coach for us.
If you discount his Bulls credentials (which I would not) on the basis that he had a great side to start with, then his efforts at Wigan look even better because he demonstrably had a terrible side to work with.
I think he has certain blind spots - his dislike of Calderwood and Leon Pryce before him, his preference for cheap second grade Aussies over young locals and his dull style of play (though not recently), but the evidence is strong enough to suggest he deserves plaudits rather than brickbats.
I do not subscribe to the players coaching themselves view, in fact i think it is nonsense, especially in a club which has so few characters compared with Dorahy's Wigan and Grant's Chelsea.

Brian Nobles tactics where out of the top draw, he had one main job to do and that was to slow the ruck down, if he did not we would have got slaughtered with them having much better props than ours. Well done Brian.

Just one more thought…. If we didn’t have Trent on the field we would have lost also!
The man was outstanding

Well played Hock, also a good performance.

Now what about this Smith fellow, I will say it now we have problems next year if he is leading us around the park, way to slow and will struggle running the ball, he will only come into his own 20 yards out looking for runners, he is not going to make a break all season on his own.

Whoops......I apologise something nice :o
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

So there you have it CPW et al, not everyone is dancing to your tune. There are many supporters out there who feel Noble has done a good job here.

God, how you all must be praying for a Leeds win on Friday or, failing that, a humiliation by the Stains in the GF.

Just so that you can all say " I told you so"!

And there are many who feel he has not

And last time I looked it was a free country with people entitled to both opinions.

And I nor anybody I know from here would be so churlish.

KittWazzer i think your attitude stinks if people dont agree with you they get slagged off .I remember your first post when you came on here and called us a bunch of "tossers".GPartin got the lash on this thread he lives in Hull and got slagged off.
As far as i know its a free country and freedom of speech is still around everybody has their own opinion whether right or wrong so i respect this.
I was a Noble fan and things this year have changed my mind towards him ill eat humble pie if we win the GF The end of season play offs dont make a season its the bread and butter games some have been diabolical Hudds game comes to mind.

Hardly slagging off! I am just exercising my right to disagree as well!

And I remain convinced that even if we were to win the Grand Final there would still be people on here banging on about the Huddersfield game!

I was as disgusted as anyone that night, but time comes when you just have to move on!

So basically what some people on here are saying, when we where playing terrible it was nobles fault, now we've started playing its all down to the players and Noble has had no influence on that.
