I am not saying he should be fat and wobbly but IMO it seems that Feka is being conditioned as if he was the same as any other prop. We all know that is not the case.

In athletics the conditioning of a sprinter is very different than a long distance runner.

It is heartening to see so many other people think the double switch is 1 too many. Interestingly, Wayne Bennett will now not always use all his interchanges based on how the game is developing. Many coaches like Noble seem determined to make the maximum number of interchanges regardless of what is happening out on the pitch.

Nobles subs by the clock are infuriating but why Noble has changed the subs bench is an interesting question.

Maybe it's the closest he can bring himself to dropping SF who used to be an 80 min prop? Maybe he thinks when Feka comes on he needs his best defensive prop alongside him for cover? (Not sure if SF is statistically our best defensive prop but I know he puts in a lot of tackles).

Dave
Ive read many times on here people saying how many tackles SF puts in and im sure his stats may back them up but i have a feeling that in this case the stats maybe telling porky's.

I'd be interested to see how many tackles SF actually instigates, im not saying he is bad in defence far from it but i think he flatters himself by coming into many tackles that are effectively over and just lying on, you could argue i suppose that this is useful as it slows the POTB but ask yourself this when was the last time you saw him put a big hit on someone 1 on 1?.

i think we are just going to have to wait for SF to leave because he is always going to play regardless of form and we know it.

My major concern with Feka is that why isn't he running straight anymore the last thing as a defender you want to see is Feka running directly at you, now he is running across defenders making it so much easier for them to halt his progress

The most important thing Wigan can do is to support Feka when he goes into the opposition becaus 9 times out of 10 he will gt the ball away, and the fact that he can do this whilst three or four defenders are hanging off him will create gaps in the defensive line.

Sprinting type conditioning would be ideal for Feka CP.
Longer distance sprinting to start with, to build up stamina and not at 100% of maximum speed. I have seen it work well on 17 stone+ lads.
