We were sat behind some Eagles fans and they seemed a bit bemused when the attendance was announced. Apparently that stand holds 8k. Sheffield played Featherstone Rovers last weekend at Bramall Lane and the attendance was 2871.
Wigan had issued 2500 tickets midweek, so god only knows where they got yesterdays figure from.

The only thing i can think off is the attendence was from the PAYING SPECTATORS and free tickets were not counted ?
You could not fiddle the gate at Bramhall Lane as every ticket had a bar code on it and you had to scan this to get in.Thought this was a great idea did away with the gate men.If DW has a look at the system no doubt he would buy into it.

I did not go to the game but 34 points conceded is not good enough. It must be the attitude of the players, as when our defence needs to be strong ie against Saints and Rhinos we are able to be so.Against Hull,Bulls and now Sheffield we have been weaker so perhaps MM needs to make a few changes.

Positive Mental Attitude.........

These men went into this game thinking it was a formality and could have come up wanting. I think thats what happened at Bradford too. 20-0 up second half thought it was won.

Problem is it only take two or three players to go this way and it can be curtains...

Believe all opposition have the ability to take away your crown and you will all work together to stop this happening. Glad its happened to be honest. Kick up the backside at this point of the season will do no harm and hopefully the too confident players will see what they are doing and reign it in.

Coprrect result and one step closer to a great August Bank Holiday Weekend.

Jaws1 not sure about only 'paying' spectators counting towards attendance. As all clubs season ticket holders have free tickets for this weekends games, the official figures for all games over the weekend would look very low if that was the case.
Fair point about the barcodes at Bramall Lane though. I was just thinking of last years reserves final at Wigan, where the tax reason was put forward as the reason for reporting a nearly full East Stand as 2500 people?

Better, but I still think there were more than that on.
