I'm with Mick on this one. Unless the coaches nip it in the bud, we could be faced with problems with the Tomkins family!
First brawl tonight involved Joel. Why did Sam need to go running in with fists flying?
Like most fans, I visit other forums. Sam is despised as a cheat who will steal a penalty at any opportunity. That's fine with me. You need shithouses in this game. Braddy, Murphy, Gregory......
As a little lad, Sam can get away with it!
Joel is a different issue. He is a liability. You don't get away with being a shithouse whhen you are a forward.
He needs sorting!

It did look bad, Yeaman came in Joel seemed to react by lifting the elbow not seen it slowed down only at the game.
The ball he took up after the brawl, it's easy to say now he should have been told "no" but most of the crowd and players seemed up for it at that moment. For the first time all game we looked intent on playing, if you had asked at the time in the heat of battle has to who should take the ball in, most would have been glad it was joel, from a playing point thats almost a must for me to have players who will take the fight in like that (without the elbow). I was glad to see him step up it changed the game, in our favour! the elbow was stupid not the drive! Hull had played on the edge all day, one of our forwards should have stepped in early game and let them know they would be in a fight if they wanted to play in that fashion.

Joel felt shown up by Yeaman who got 4 or 5 shots in without him hardly returning a punch.
Why was he allowed to take the next ball in, knowing he would go for Yeaman.
Why was Joel not substituted for 10 minutes to cool down.
Ganson lost control of this ill tempered game tonight with the resultant happening. Luaki was just as bad with his shoulder charge on Sam then lunged in with his elbow/forearm with intent, Ganson was right beside it, but put it on report.
Joel will get 4+ games for his raised delbow.

To be honest, whenever I've played and there's been a scrap, the player involved has always took the next carry, it's Like mind games to show the opposition that he is not going to take a Backward step and isn't afraid. I remember Stu Fielden doing it against Leeds 2 seasons ago after having a bit of biff with Peacock. Hull like a scrap there's no denying that, Radford looks for one all the time. Yeamons head was probably just In the wrong position when Joel tried to do his usual push through with his arms. It's a tactic he uses to win the collision, the fact that Yeamons head flew back and the Hull players reaction made it look worse than it actually was.
P.s. Ganson is a c u next tuesday

He will get banned. And when his ban is up he should play in the reserves until he realises that we are not short of second row forwards. Let him play his way back in. His petulance could have cost us the game tonight.
Thank goodness for the maturity of Josh Charnley!

Joel tomkins really needs to sort his discipline out. At the end of the day I'm all for joel taking the first one in after a bit of biff but the elbow was a sh1t house trick to make sure he didn't get hurt with a high shot.He needs to sort himself out quickly and now with one prop out coming into 3 big fixtures he goes and gets banned for more than likely all 3.
(I must say though that if ganson ref's the game properly and sin bins manu or lualaki the this wouldn't of happend)

Far from a problem if a player off your team gets hit you should go in, that was the problem today when we got hit first 60 no one stepped up!!! Forwards not beig SH***ouses your joking?? Skerrit, Sorensen, Barry Mac, Newton all did much much more than Joel today hated by oppo fans legends to their own. Not saying he was not daft but you do need teamates to step in at times.

I think people need to wait till they have seen a replay of it before giving Joel a kicking!
As the replay Ive seen his elbows were not up in the initial tackle.
And it certainly fired our players up and not before time!
Ganson was not protecting our players! somebody has to stand up!

Joel taking up rhe next ball was always going to happen.
Lets face it Manu should have been red carded the firdt time he tried to twist Sam's head off.
The shot on Sam whilst in the air on our right wing desreved a sin binning.
Joel and Yeaman should both have been binned after the first flare up.
The fact that Joel ran at Yeaman made no odds, because if he hadn't Yeaman would have been hunting him anyway, that goes with the territory.
Joel will probably get three matches, but Manu should be cited for multiple attacks to Sam's head, and whoever it was tackled Sam in the air, I missed who that was, should be cited as well.
Hull came with the idea of slowing us down, unfortunately for the spectators, they had to resort to lying on and being constantly offside, whereas Wigan don't need to lie on, because take the opposition down when WE want, in a controlled fashion, so our line is set.
Two points rom an ugly win, still two points.
