New Coach???

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Really DaveO is there far more than just winning?
There is now we only have the CC and the GF to compete for.

If you are not going to get any enjoyment out of a season that does not deliver either of those trophies you are going to be very disappointed quite regularly.

There is no Lancashire Cup or Regal Trophy any more as consolation prizes.

For me it's all about how we play the game and in 2010 I thought we were outstanding and we deserved to win the GF - BUT a bit of bad luck may have cost us that GF win.

Had we lost the final would that have invalidated the great games we watched and won during the season? I'd have been very bit I got great deal of enjoyment out of out 2010 league campaign.

I am no fan of the play off system as I just see it as another knock out comp and not something as prestigious as an old fashioned league title but that is the way it is so you have to go with the flow.

It was just a bit of 'Tongue in Cheek' DaveO and I completely agree with the fact that nowadays SL clubs are a 'BUSINESS' and yes there is far more to it than just winning, all I was saying was that winning makes the whole business operation run alot more smoothly because everybody concerned with the club from cleaners to admin to players to coaches to fans are simply happier.

would you think it's fair to say that the average fan doesn't give a gnat's chuff whether they hear about something in the Evening post, on teletext or from their mate in the pub before the club or not? Most fans probably don't even go on the club website.
