Hull can and will finish 5th if they win and both Leeds and Catalan lose their last games, away to Huddersfield & Salford respectively as Hull have a superior points difference.

The moment we failed to deal with the kick off the writing was on the wall. No field position and little possession is bad against anybody let alone Wire.
The Wire side also had some younger players that held their end up well covering for more senior abscentees.

wire will smash Hull - they are too inconsistent to put in two good performances. The hub cap is gone.
I still think that this loss will help us. After we lost to catalan we picked ourselves up and played some of our best rugby of the year.
The manner of the loss yesterday and the all the niggly crap that dire got away with will mean the players are out to prove something.

I really think this will be a kick up the backside for us in my opinion we were always due a defeat and i would rather it come now than in the play offs

Hopefully we can turn it around for the play off's but, as someone has said, we have not done too bad since Mr Maguire came.
Wembley did it for me, weekend away, travelling down the motorway, the full occasion an' all that, as in the old days. Not seen a copy of the match yet, by what I have read on here, not worth listening to the drivel by the commentators.
We beat the three top teams, Warrington on their own middin, Saints and Leeds.
Anyway, the Premiership is bumped up to suit the Sky paymasters and "Just like in Australia" Stephenson. The players will be pumped up for the play off's because Old Trafford is a good venue, but the occasion will never beat a Wembley Final.
P.S. I hope we give a good Final send off to Mr Madge

Expecetd MM to give them a roasting at half time and thought he had. We came out and played better but still couldn't get our game together and still no discipline.
Why?
Fully agree Morph..I was so shocked I couldn't speak
I knew it wouldn't be easy and we can't play to high
intensity every week, but it was alarming the way we
fell apart.Hopefully we got our crap game out off the
way and didn't save it for the play-offs.
Need total focus now though and no slip-ups.
The top spot is surely gone now but we can do it
PLEASE DON'T SLIP UP!! :eusa4: :eusa4:

IMO it has been Madges main ambition/intention to win the Challenge Cup this season with a lot of focus aimed at each round of the competition.
In the SL matches played prior to each CC round we basically just done enough to get the 2 points.
What are peoples thoughts on the focus that the team will put into the SL Grand Final play offs as a result of the CC success?
